It is the total number of scales on the dragon divided by 6...

I always attract the hare-brained nutcases...

'Birds of a Feather' principle in operation, I guess.

I like to keep a couple of hares on my head to compensate for the lack of hairs.

'Tis a cold winter after all! :-X

Fantastic work, the muscle definition on the leg reminds me somewhat of a small chicken, and I've (strangely) got the urge to bite it off! Scrumptious!

Wow wow wow!! I can't believe I'm just coming across this thread now. I've had a blast reading through all the pages and watching this sculpt come together over the course of an evening's surfing. What an amazing work.

It reminds me of some of the Grenadier and Partha dragons I used to own and love as a kid... makes me nostolgic for the good ole days of minis.

Thanks for sharing your work in such detail!

Archer did his first mini painting today. I was working on some WoMT and his mum suggested that he paint some old Warhammer minis that he had in his game cupboard.

Check out

for a proud daddy moment. :-D

What does magnificently mean?

Brilliant update, it was funny to hear what the infamous Natarn Ulka sounds like. And painting at aged 3? Amazing he has the patience to learn, I know I'm still trying to master it :P

A proud daddy, and rightly so! Just look at Archer’s brush control (at that age I couldn’t even handle a broom – what? Mrs. LSB calling: “You never once tried!” Ah, well…).

Now I wonder: what will happen if you give him, let’s say, some pieces of cardboard and a few cocktail sticks…?

Keep me informed. 8)

I taught him how to hold a pen/pencil properly a while back, so he's just using that skill in a new context. He painted our salt dough Christmas decorations, but they were much larger.

I think he might poke his eyes out with cocktail sticks! But perhaps in a few years he'll build the Black Gate. :-D

Has anyone else seen 'The Phantom Menace'?

Seriously, it's great to see the intense concentration and dexterity that youngsters display without the embarrassed self-consciousness of older and presumably wiser teenagers and adults. I expect him to be sculpting Glaurung the Wyrm by this time next year... :-D

Camera and camcorders are suchmarvellous devices for recalling all those little moments in life. There is always something in the background that slips the memory until a photo gives the little grey cells a good kick into life.

Does this mean we get a Very Junior Category in the next Awards?
