Hi Karavatis,

you have a really nice troop there! I love Natarn's miniatures and you have really done them justice! I like all the little different colour variations you've given them and the colour of the base (yes, I can speak a tiny bit spanish)

I am looking forward to the rest of your army of the dead!

Best wishes,
Bennet

Nice work, Karavatis. The command looks great! Very atmospheric. I just love seeing someone else enjoying my sculpts. :)

Nice work. It's interesting how cool LOTR units look on the WOTR bases :)

Post subject:  karavatis WIP. Warpfire Dragon. 05.05.2014.

Hi.
This work was for the Challenge of April, but I have been more busy than I thought so I pass this work to my WIP Threat...

This is the Warpfire Dragon from ForgeWorld...

The thing is that I wanted a tree and not a column, so I've been working in a transformation of the column in a tree...

That's coming along nicely. :)
I like the tree idea, which is different. How will you paint the tree? Will it be burnt or healthy?
I also like the dragon's blue tongue because it's startling and stands out from the mini. It reminds me of a skink.

Are Frodo and Sam to be included ?
Looking the part and reminds me of one Raffa did on Massive Voodoo.

Hi.

Natarn, at first I thought to paint the tree in black tones, but at last I thought it was going to be like my older troll, so I decided to paint the tree with browns...

Gandalf the Grey, I haven't seen this work, if you can upload a photo I'll be so happy. And yes, I'm going to include a hobbit in the base, a scare hobbit, and more surprises, but at this moment I have done almost work in the tree and the base...

But it's not finished yet.

An elf in the tree and you would be well on the way

This dragon looks great, great pose and placing him in a tree is perfect. Excellent as a stand alone piece, it could have been in a bigger confrontation diorama also.
The wings are exceptionally well done, the touches of blue in the shading have added definition.
The horns and teeth are accurate and realistic with lovely tones to the skin. If anything I think you could have added more contrast to the face and the chest might be a touch bright.
That however, is being ultra picky, this is an exceptional piece and it will make a fantastic centre piece in any cabinet.

Very very nice work - it is nice to see something that was good to start with and witness the transformation into something unique and special.
