Why thank you very much.

@Hilbert - And that reminds me on whether I should have one in one of my books or should the orc war lord just ride a wyvern.

@Hilbert, I'll keep this quick sio I don't derail my own WIP thread. I hope it goes well, (i have brough minis into college, and none were broken), 4 years ago, I showed an early draft of my book to my favourite English teacher at Secondary School, Bob. Like you, I also have little time for my book at the present.

I intend to use the profile for a Khandish King in Chariot. Chariots tend to look more devastating than they actually are unfortunately :(

By the end of January, I intend to have completed for my Angmar army:

2 Barabarian Chieftains of Carn Dum
2 Barbarian Banner Bearers
72 Barabarians of Carn Dum
1 Ghostly Captain on Undead Horse
6 Ghostly Riders
Durburz ft & mtd
Druzhag ft & mtd
32 Gundabad Blackshields (8 metal)
12 Moria Goblins with bows
1 Duskwraith
Morogmir (Twilight Ringwraith)
Ghostly Revenant
Cave Troll with spear

For a total of 135 models. Such a small challenge.

Sounds awesome! :)

What is a Duskwraith and a Ghostly Revenant? Do they have stats and where might they be available?
Thanks in advance! :)

As DMS said, Revenants and Duskwraiths have SBG profiles in that WD issue, in WOTR they will act as stand ins for a Ghost Captain and Grima Wormtongue.

They are both Spirit heroes in the SBG, Duskwraiths are low-level magicians like Shamans and they can give extra Will points to the Witch-king, The Revenants are essentially Ghost (Spectre) Captains which are similar to the King of the Dead in that they are only one attack and can auto-kill multi-wound models.

No worries, my WIP can get longer without me doing the hard work :)

Oh and there's a good chance, I'll go out and buy some Easterlings before that lot is finished but never mind, that my summer army project payed for in advance.

And now for what (one or two people) have beeen looking forward too. Some photos. This differs rom the list I originally intended slightly, at the moment, all are unpainted, but several of the conversions took a long time to complete. here is the shot of all the models I will shortly paint:

Image

The list is:

2 Barabarian Chieftains of Carn Dum
2 Barbarian Banner Bearers
76 Barabarians of Carn Dum
1 Ghostly Captain on Undead Horse
5 Ghostly Riders
Durburz ft & mtd
Druzhag ft & mtd
24 Gundabad Blackshields (8 metal)
8 Moria Goblins with bows
1 Duskwraith
Morogmir (Twilight Ringwraith)
Ghostly Revenant
Cave Troll with spear
1 Warg Rider Drummer
8 Warg Riders with shields
6 Morannon Orcs with shields (courtesy of a trade with Legolas31)
1 Wild Warg

Now for close-up shots. Firstly two shots of the Barbarians, each showcasing a different pair of Commanders, and some of their lesser troops:

Next are some of my Gundabads, incuding some conversions:

Now for the Ghostly Riders (very fun work :) ):

Image

Then (this is my attempt Mr Bilbo) at the Revenant and Duskwraith:

Image

Then my long-awaited mtd (and ft) Durburz and Druzhag. (By the way I did not intend to putthe Bat Swarm on the mtd Druzhag, but I needed it there because the model was too top-heavy):

And just to prove they exist, my Warg Riders (see the drummer in the top right) and Cave Troll:

Thank you very much for seeing this. I hope you were not too bored by me.

Thank you, that is fairly sizeable, I have painted as much before in one go, but this time I have 80 of the same thing, so it will probably get more tedious this time.

Thank you lol.

I have started the painting. Every single model has been undercoated black, and I have applied the first layer of silver armour to the silver armour. No pics until I omplete a more interesting stage.
