Nice work Morden! 8)

I'm pretty sure someone on Mithril had a similar idea of turning Isengard Uruks into Mordor ones. If you want I'll try and find a link for you. :)

Or just paint his skin on green and tell everyone it's an orc, but in the UH Scout's clothes ;)

Posting very soon.

Good work on the greenstuff, Morden. I really love the drum, fantastic work there. My one critiscm is that the arms, and the weapons seem a little too large for the bodies. Other than that its all great work.

Well, Morden, those are some brilliant conversions!

I've never been a fan of using warhammer bits, but these arms do seem to fit them .. good job!!

one small point is that the hammer-head looks too refined for Uruk-Hai, perhaps you could swap it with something else.

Talking about swapping, what did you do with the bottom-most right uruk? his weapon looks particularly vicious!

Nice conversions! You could however try to do some 'deeper' holes in the chainmail, that way it'll look better when painted. 8)

Nice conversion work Morden 8) Although I agree with Josh, the weapons do look a bit to big.

The weapons do seem a little out of the Uruk-Hai threshold, but I must admit that they are all looking great! Keep it up :)

Here's the link I talked about:
http://www.mitril.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=489&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=315

(Keep flicking forward through the pages; it shows them painted as well).

Sorry for the wait, it took me a while to find it.

If you're talking about that big ol' spiked mace, I believe it came from the Warhammer Beastmen sprue.

Yea, your right the hammer does look to clean/new for uruks to own such items ill look in to get him a more smaller crude weapon.

Is it the uruk in the 3rd picture far right your talking about? If it is its the weapon is from the empire flaggellent set. The beastmen one is far far bigger in size.

I have been buzy since my last post i decided to do 1000pts mordor army and 1000pts imperial guard based upon terrorist organization COBRA from Gi Joe you can see it here if your really interested.
http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/projects/142620-project-cobra-part-deux.html

More pictures some spear orcs in to handweapon and shield orcs.
Image
That makes 13 shield orcs and 3 to go for 2 companies for next ToP update.

I have been working on these guys the past week to finish my 100pts for tale of the painters there about 95% done just need to finish painting shagrat,1 uruk and to add a little grass to there bases.
3 normal dudes

Some fab conversions, like the banner and the axeman on the 2nd last picture.

However i don't like the flat blue skin. I would highlight codex grey, add another highlight of codex grey + enchanted blue. then wash the skin with asurmen blue or badab black.

thats just my opinion though.

I am gonna have a go at trying it out.
Cheers mate.

Lol I've never seen a blue orc! :-D

Great conversions all around, although I have to agree with Corsair on the flat blue skin...
I'd also suggest maybe washing the weapons with some Badab Black (notably the 'spiked-ball on chain' thingy) as the metal looks a tad flat aswell...

Anyways, good job! Keep us updated :)

Lol, i know what the hell was i thinking? blue uruks :P. I end up giving them a few brown ink washes instead of black but i think they all turned out great IMO.

The original plan was to do 2000pts but i decided to chop it down to 1000pts mordor orcs and 1000pts imperial guard.

I have finally finished my 125pts for tale of the painters i decided to change my skin on the orcs as mention in last post so here the update which is alot better IMO.
Shagrats Tower Guard (I have another 2 formations planned)

Image
I went for a crudely painted banner following some painting advice from the Wotr rule book.

Banna bearer and Drummer

And finally finished pictures of converted shagrat :D.

Here is before and after conversion looked.

Chow for now and Will update with some mordor orcs soon.
