You can enter any of the models listed in the intro rules, although the principle model is the barrow wight any of the other minis mentioned as secondary minis are fine to paint, i.e. Tom, Goldberry, shades and any other "spirity" type beings.

I've got a King of the Dead model coming on Wednesday so hopefully I'll be able to do something special with him and have him done on time.

I believe what he is saying is that he doesn't like the style of Miguel's Barrow-wight, as it looks more like a zombie from a comic then a Barrow-wight from Middle-earth. I could be wrong though. I couldn't disagree more, I think Miguel's looks great. 8)

Anyways, I've done some more work on my Barrow-wight. I finished the armor and the robes. I'm pleased with the robes, but not so much with the armor. Sorry for the not so great pics, I'll have some better ones when I finish the face. :)

Well, since he's a dead spirit I thought blank eyes were rather appropriate. :-D

I really like the breastplate, did you do it NMM? The robes look fantastic too. :yay:

Post subject:

Thank you very much, Andrew! Nah, the breastplate isn't NMM. I'm glad you like it though, as I wasn't too pleased with it as the blending just didn't seem as smooth as on the robes, which I was fairly happy with. It was really a nice miniature to paint, a great choice for the competition! :)

I love the combination of armor colors! Robes are well done, somehow they just seem...hard to find a word for it, but it really fits the theme. :yay:

My pleasure Josh! You've just got a nice uneven shade line on the armour which sort of mimics the horizon you try and paint with NMM, it looks really good.
Just one more day til I get my King of the Dead model, Woo Hoo. :D Then I'll start getting to work on him, considering this months competition he'll need to be pretty special, though I have been busy with "another" WIP, pictures soon!

Cheers,
Pinky
