So this is my first time posting to this forum. I live in Minneapolis and have a very small group of friends who play. I'm currently the horse lord in our group so I thought I might show my 4 legged friends:

Ooo, nice job on the Marshal mini. Makes a very nice Theodred. I like your painting. Nice and crisp and not too fussy. I'm assuming those cloaked guys are home made Outriders? Or are they Grey company rangers? Basing is effective too. I need to get me some of those grass tufts.

Thanks. Yeah the hooded guys are outriders, but they also would work well for the Grey Company which was their inspiration. The grass is highland tuft from army painter- http://usshop.thearmypainter.com/produc ... tGroupId=3

Ah cheers. I know of UK traders who sell army painter stuff. How many tufts do you get for your money?

That's a really nice color scheme you gave Eomer, and it looks like he's on a Theoden modeled horse.

The tufts of grass were 5 US dollars and I used 3 of them to cover everything you see plus about 16 more trays I have ready for expansion. Considering all the time it took me in the past to build the tufts by hand- these things are gold.

The Eomer model had his sword removed and replaced with the nicer Theoden on foot sword. The horse is actually dug out underneath. I then replaced the bottom with a plastic horse body/legs. Here is the original- http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_Cus ... 73x627.jpg

Welcome to the One-Ring. They are amazing models particular the Eomer conversion.
Have you got any more coming?

Very nice work, very professional looking.
I liked muted tone of the flock too, not too green.
regards
Scott

That's a great looking Éored you have there! The tufts of grass go perfectly with the force, and I really like your Éowyn and Éomer.

Can't wait to see more!
