Hello there,

I have been collecting on and off for years, but i am back with a vengeance and am collecting my butt off. My buying somehow seems to outweigh my painting however... Any way, to get me motivated i have decided to create this thread. I dont play the game, so painting is my pride and joy and drive myself crazy (think ive finished about 1 mini ive been happy with :o )

From one painter to another, welcome.
Those Grimhammers are on my to buy list, they look great. I've noted the nice blending on the blue cloth.

Ha I've just finished a batch of blue Grimhammers too. You've done an awesome job on them my friend. Looks like you have your work cut out for you with all those models on the paintstation.

Love the blue Grimhammer, nice touch. Welcome to the forum.

Your painting table looks like its being taken over by small silver men!!!

The grim hammers look great n
It's the same scheme I used in mine. The blue looks great against the polished metal, much better than the tradional brown.

Thanks all for the nice comments :)

My hobbit has ended up in the paint stripping pile as the amount of layers it took to cover the black primer with basic skintone led to it becoming too thick and horrible. Any suggestions to get a nice smooth coverage over black for skin? Or best to use grey/white pimer?

i paint flesh over black prime coat every time. what flesh colour are you using and are you giving the flesh coloured paint the shake of its life before attempting to paint over the black?

It was vallejo basic skintone extremely watered down. I normally give a quick shake of the pot, perhaps i need to shake more and water down less. I always use the same consistency of paint that can take 10-15 very thin layers to cover well.

Welcome, nice take on the Grim Hammers. I recently painted some and really enjoyed them, I think they are great miniatures.

Tonight i decided to "horse" around with some horse painting :D This was just a quick trial to see how it would look. I am after C&C to help me. Only the main body has been highlighted.
