Here's my latest addition to my army, a Great Eagle called Barukshathur (Axes of the Clouds in the dwarven tongue).

It's from Gamezone. They do 3 very nice giant eagle models. I've been eyeing this one for months now, wondering what it looks like outside the studio photos. Answer: It looks good!

Thanks all, yup it's a Gamezone model, from memory there are three different poses to choose from?

I really love the model, but boy it was a hard one to assemble well, lots of greenstuff and superglue and fiddly bits. Lots of annoying times when bits fell off and getting it to be stable on the base was horrible! I couldn't even pin it because of the funny ways the surfaces curved and didn't contact. Maybe I had a slightly dodgy sculpt? In the end greenstuff and superglue filled the gaps and stuck it together.

Having said all that, I'm so really happy with how it came out and it really does look great amidst the short dwarves.

It may also be just me having mostly done simple plastics rather than big metals, I don't have the skillset that some of you probably have!

Anyway, looking forward to having it munch some Haradrim =)

I know these eagles, I want some also. You painted it very good. Nice autumn colors. My favorite eagle is the eagle I.. Looks much better than gw lotr eagle.

Awesome eagle and great painting on the feathers! I almost want one right away aswell as the dwarf rangers but I'm trying to hold off to see the Hobbit range first.... soooo tempting!

That exact model in that pose, in those colours, reminds me exactly of a picture of a Haast's Eagle I have in my Extinct Animals Calandar.
