Well today marks the day I will start posting my works and progress in this little area of the forum here! I hope you all enjoy and look forward to what could lie in the future! Enough of that now huh? Time for some pics!

First on the list is improving these Galadhrim's paint job! I started painting them and didn't really like the turnout so I'm going to paint them a little darker, more like Helms deep and less like a cartoon huh? I've got about 33 of them to finish painting which include 2 Galadhrim Captains 15 archers and all the rest are swords and banner carriers.

So ill post some more of these elves next when I improve and base them. Also if ya'll have any suggestions Im more than open to hear them! I love it when people have ideas I never would have thought of!

For any of you wondering I am currently studying to be a concept artist and here is my current setup. Though I'm looking very soon to upgrade my computer.

Also I recently finished basing some warriors of Minas Tirith and Some knights of Dol Amroth

I might touch these up later but for now Ill keep working on the elves who are turning out quite well with the advice given to me to use a Devlan Mud Wash!

Some very nice painting, like the armour on the WoMT/SKoDA and cloaks on the Elves.

Hey ya'll here's a little update of what to expect in the future.

WIP
1. Galadhrim Elves 95% painted 0% based
2. Wood Elves 20% painted 0% based
3. Helms Deep ???????

I got some uruks all painted up and finished. Actually some of them need a major touch up but uruk's are quite forgiving in their paint job for people who suck like me. :roll:

So I was thinking of recreating a diorama type scene from the Two Towers. One of my favorite parts in the Two Towers is when the uruk's break the wall then Aragorn orders a volley and then says my favorite word in Elven dialog, Herio. Then the elves rush down to meet the uruks. (Seriously though they could've let off some more volleys before charging. They had the high ground, They had the Uruks in a bottleneck, AND they had some serious distance between the Uruks and themselves. Oh well lets just agree Aragorn just wanted to go see how Gimli was doing yeah?)

Anyways I'm going to try to recreate this scene because I just thought the poses for Haldir's elves with swords was perfect for that scene! Speaking of Uruks here are the Uruks I currently own.

Got some Uruk scouts and around 40+ Fighting Uruk Hai. Here's some pics!

As for the elves Ill save the best for last :twisted:

So those of you waiting for that its actually almost all finished. Just gotta pretty much base em so yeah not long till I post em!

Sorry to say, I have you beat on numbers of Uruk-hai.

But, not all of them are painted or based completely like yours. :-D

Well its been a long few months with school work my art and other obligations but I found some time to finish the Galadhrim Unit. I finished up basing them this week and now they are finished!

I'm pretty terrible at basing! I wish they had more poses for the metal ones. But I think its about 3 poses for the Glaives and 3 for the Archers though they are very subtle in difference! I might add some of the plastic ones but I personally don't think they stack up visually well next to their metal brethren.

I Blended the cloaks a bit more towards the bottom to give that dusty look.

Lets shed some more light on the situation shall we?

So there you have it! Just have one more to finish but his glaive broke SO IT MUST BE REFORGED!
