After spending a bit more time around here lately, and being embarrassed at the wealth of talent and diligent Backlog reduction, I dug out some minis. As it happens, they are plastic trolls. These are not finished cleanup or greenstuffing and the bases have to be worked on so this is an early stage of WIP. I am trying to get some variety from the standard bits and pieces, so they don't all look too similar.

More to come, slowly but heck, anything beats doing nothing.

No painting until I get all the rough taken off these large smelly dimwits. They are just one tiny selection of my preposterous Backlog. Evidence? Well, here is a pic from maybe 2 or 3 years back, just of Morannon and Mordor orcs - I acquired more before the latest insane GW price rist/halving of the numbers in the box debacle.

There are 734 of them... in that picture. I believe there are hundred(s) more still on sprues...

Don't think Kev can stand the sight of orcs anymore as it is, hate to think what he'd be like after painting that horde!

Also, what exactly do you play? Are you using a different set of rules or house rules or something? I just can't see you using the SBG with this kind of numbers. It would be insane!

In answer to the rules question from MacGothmog, I most often play hard to get. :P

I do play some SBG and some WOTR but I am thinking about adapting a completely different set of rules to the Middle-earth setting so I can go mad with HUGE armies.

That Gondor cavalry charge.. . Me Wants!! and that Mordor siege tower is look top notch, very nice work indeed! Shoot at the trolls!
