Because the soil of the Green Hills was rich farming soil, no metal ore was ever found there. So it was, that the Court of the Pinnath Gelin, bartered with the Prince of Dol Amroth in Middle Earth's first food for arms deal.
The Swan Knight's allow their swords and shields to be to be used in time of War. But only a true Swan Knight is granted the honor of wearing the Full Swan Helmet. Thus the Knights of the Green Hills wear the less ornate version. They also adorn themselves with a flowing black cape, that signifies Royal Knighthood throughout the land of the Green Hills. Hirluin, their Lord, was killed at the battle of Pelennor Fields
as the Green Knights came to the aide of Eomer and his Rohirrim in their time of need..

NB: I didn't finish Hirluin in time to add him into the pix. All of these photos were taken on the same day and he was not even close to being ready.

Okay, this is parts and pieces night. Ebob heads, GW shields. Fireforge bodies and capes, arms from all the known plastic world. Some BTD pieces and who knows what else went into these guys. I really like that the barding on the horse does not cover the horses face. I had some fun with these guys. The pennants are just color copies that were cut out and glued to the lances in the regular manner. I felt that all of the units had to have some form of the White Tree included in their uniform.

I may halt the charge of the Cavalry next and put up some really nice foot figures. All I need to do is finish the grass clumps around the bases. I really go all out on my bases
and try to make them as appealing as possible. Perhaps I'll do an article one day on how I do them. Anyway, this will have to suffice for a few days, as I get the foot troops
battle ready.
