Working on a colour scheme. Im not really a huge fan of red here and green there, with a bit of black all over this way. I'm much more interested in an army flying all the same colours. So i picked my favourite combo, blues with browns and orange highlights. Also i don't like silver, so all my metal is gold (save for some flashes to spice things up)

So far i've got my Grim Hammers painted up, my Dwalin, and my Radagast. Working on Balin next, then Warriors of Erebor, then whoever from the company.

Anywho, here are some pictures, let me know what you think.

I like it! The yellow browns, oranges and gold/bronze gives a warm autumn feeling, and blue always works as a complement for them.

You stole my idea! Just kidding.

I had thought about doing bronze armor on the Grimhammers, but I haven't even picked any up yet! Haha. They look very good, and I like the alternate scheme on Dwalin.

Add some wash (diluted at that moment) or even better, brown glazes to shade the face, clear it out and then add eyes :)

Dare it, even if you make a mistake it can be fixed don't worry! About the beard, I suppose you need to wash it with diluted bleach bone and after it dries out you will use some agrax earthshade. Then you may carefully re-highlight with white the edges. Never afraid to experiment with any colour of glazes too!!

just ordered some Warriors of Erebor! Pictures to come in my alt colour scheme. I'll try to do one up that doesnt look so much like a grim hammer model. Pretty excited, when im done these models il have somewhat of an army to play with, fully painted at that.

Rushedly through together a the new Dwalin today, I put his large axe on his back instead of the two small ones. Not sure how i feel about the silver being rusty looking, may go over it so its the untainted LeadBelcher.

Aaand Balin is complete! not going to do up Oin (not even sure if thats who else is in the blister, thats how disinterested i am in it.) Still need to clean up the wash puddle under his eyebrows.

Anywho, this is him.
