Thanks Dead Marsh Spectre. I've had a quick play about with the kit yesterday and I learnt a few things. Firstly, the weapon holding hands look like they'll be a pain to pin using my normal 1mm bit as many of them thin to less than 1mm in places. Secondly, the head size is a good bit smaller than the plastic goblins. This may not be an issue for most people, but as I was toying with some head swaps, it may be an issue. Finally, the weapons are pretty flimsy, especially the stupid bone picks. I don't get why someone wearing armour goes into battle with the remains of two chicken drumsticks tied to a stick. I'm considering replacing most of the FW weapons with plastic alternatives, like this guy: C&C welcome. Dallo |

Got a few more Mercenaries built. Nothing too complicated for these guys, just a couple of weapon swaps and used boiling water to slightly bend the feet of the stepping goblin. You may note I've used Moria goblin swords on a few of the models as I wanted to emphasise the shared lineage of the two goblin armies. C&C welcome. Dallo |

Hi all, Sorry I've not been updating this log recently. I have made the decision to put this project on hold. I'd found having such a big deadline (a fully painted, based, converted warband per week for two months) was having a big impact on my enjoyment of the hobby. It was becoming a stressful chore that I was resenting rather than a way to have fun and unwind. It was also making me feel guilty when I was doing other hobby projects. This means I'll probably not make it along to the event in September, but I can live with that. Hopefully, without a stressful deadline, I'll come back to this project some day. Thank you to all who viewed this log and especially to those who commented. Until next time. Dallo |
