Just thought I would offer some advice for those trying to take pictures of miniatures and not knowing where to start. When I started I had no idea, and often took dark, out-of-focus pictures of miniatures. After seeing this simple tutorial, it all turned around for me:

Thanks for the tip rev, that is a nice, simple tutorial.

I've also found that the tutorial in the OR Library is quite handy as well. I know that my photos look much better now.
