Make sure you put in a black water stream in there for good measure. One that has a small boat tied to one side of the shore.

That is a very good idea 8)

Perhaps you could take some hedge or bush clippings and peel the leaves off? I've been thinkin of making a similar one myself.

A good idea. One tip  Make the tree trunks long enough for you to have space for your hands and the figures under the tree canopy.

I used green lichen when I fished these trees but this brown moss will work for fall colors and can be flocked as normal. I use hairspray to attach flock to tree foliage.

Here are some pictures of my WIP Mirkwood. By the end of this project I hope to have most of the board filled with trees, decaying matter, fungi and spider webs. I also want to put a stale creek inside the ravine and caverns. Everything is made of polystyrene so far, and a torch creates a nice spider tunnel effect. If I'm not wrong, spray paint eats through polystyrene, so I will spray the trees to create a shrivelled effect. I also want to add more ways to scale the chasm wall or cross the span, as a test run game was almost like playing on two separate boards.

Sorry for the low quality photos, next time I update this I'll use an better camera.

OOP I purchased them from E bay in Germany. They would not ship to the U.S. so Dead March Specter had to relay them to me.

Here's an update of my WIP. Hopefully you get some inspiration from this! Once again, sorry for the bad quality - when I'm completely finished I will use something better than my Ipod camera.
