what is the best way to paint sand to get it to have more depth? I mean in terms of making a desert base. Thanks in advance. |

Have never tried it myself but I would think maybe base of kommando khaki drybrushed with bleached bone then heavily washed with gryphon sepia (or however they're spelt). As I said haven't tried it but it might work. |

I've been doig this recently. Either use Army Painters Human Flesh spay undercoat for the whole model or undrcoat the sand GW Dwarf Flesh. Then use a dark brown wash, I have used Coat d'arms dark brown wash and brown in wash - no need for any thing else! I alsolike to add a few small stones when gluing on the sand, these are painted and drybrushed: dark brown > graveyard earth > kommando Khaki > white |
