My Collectors set arrived today. One of the axes broke, so I will be returning it and another has been ordered. But I took some pics so you can see what they look like on the table.

Do you only get one with the CE? and is it only the blu ray version?

I will be making a special base to fit them in to cover the writing. That is for sure. Thanks for sharing

You get 2. Since I'm returning it. I left the other one still strapped in the box. The box set includes Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD UltraViolet.

Yum. I actually kind of like the broken axe. I suppose it depends if you want ruins or not...

It's strange, because in germany we have them. But you seem to be right Harfoot. However, you can get them as import: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Hobbit-Deso ... desolation

Glad you showed these. They are def. too small for use to make the erebor gate, So I will have to sculpt something and save me $90 since I don't want a 3D version (horror), don't need BR version until extended comes out, and don't need digital download cause I am about 15 years behind on tech. So just a DVD for me at $15 (probably on continuous playback for 6 months)and wait for the extended version.

Wait what you dont want ancient dwarven ruins with some of their most revered heros and memory with 'the hobbit' written on the side? WEIRD lmao.

Those things might not be the size of the Erebor gate but theylll make AWESOME terrain.
