Feedback on trade

I sent: two sealed blisters (Murin & Drar + Dwarf Lords Balin & Dwalin)
I was supposed to receive: Retunr Of The King Journey Book

My blisters arrived in the UK within the week. Dom's book didn't reach Belgium so fast. Dom was panicking, sending me lots of messages. I told him to relax, but he was afraid for his trade reputation in case the book didn't arrive.

After three weeks the book arrived... but it was the wrong book (RotK Rules Manual, not the Journey Book).

I PM'd Dom who promptly appologised and offered me to either both send everything back or to send me a Merry In Rohan Armour as a compensation, which I accepted.

Condition of item - Perfect - as described
Delivery time - three weeks for the book, one week for the mini
Packaging - First class, well protected.

Recommendation: Good communication. He made a mistake (he's obviously not a book collector) but was very helpfull in reaching an agreement to compensate me. So in the end I can recommend trading with Dom. He's an honest guy to trade with (see all the other recommendations above), so I wouldn't doubt because this trade took rather long to unfold.

Sent Glorfindel ft and mt BNIB for a few RRG mounted.

Delivery time: Just over a week :) He sent a few days after me but his arrived a day or so before mine arrived with him.
Condition of packaging: Perfectly fine
Condition of items: As described :)
Recommendation: I'd highly recommend this chap. Great communication and as a relatively new trader to the forum, clearly worried when the item I sent hadn't arrived after a week and he hadn't heard from me. But as we know, the postal service can be hit and miss and I think the item I sent a few days before he sent, arrived a day or so after the item he had sent. Alls well in the end and very helpful in making this trade happen! TRADE WITH CONFIDENCE

Feedback on Trade I traded an unopened blister of Dunlendings' Command for 2 Dwarven Kings and 3 Khazad Guards.

Delivery time: Less than a week after dispatch
Condition of packaging: Bubble wrapped; the enveloped bared the indication of "fragile". I was very pleased with the packaging.
Condition of items: In very good condition, a slight bend on one axe, but the specific variant's axe is liable to bending.
Recommendation: I would undoubtedly trade with Dom again; it was certainly a pleasure!

Feedback on Trade: 3 Warriors of Arnor & Thror for TTT Gandalf on Shadowfax, Knight of Minas Tirith Banner Bearer, Elendil and Isildur.

Delivery time: due to a combination of unforeseen circumstances, this trade took about a month to complete. However this in no reflects Dom's dedicated attitude and helpfulness and he kept me updated the whole way. I had no problems waiting that extra time for my items.
Condition of packaging: First Class!
Condition of items: Excellent!
Recommendation: Despite things mentioned above we got there in the end and I would not hesitate to trade with him again. This is a one off occasion and he handled it very well considering the circumstances. A highly recommended trader. Thanks again Dom!

Hello All,
Does anybody know Dom, or how to contact outside of this site?
I started a trade with him, I sent my stuff but it's tied up.
Something with payment due to customs. I don't know...
Would like the trade happen without a hitch, and let him know what is happening.
He's not been on One-Ring for a couple weeks, and he's not received my emails.

Thank you in advance if you can help out.

You're not the only one having to be patient with Dom.

I sent him some things in March and am still waiting for him to post his lot.

I'm sure he will get there when he is ready.

If you check his trade thread he has updated it and apologized.

Feedback on Trade

1 Axeman of Lossarnach
1 Kahndish Chieftain Ft & Mntd
(for)
3 Dunlanding Warriors (originally agreed to 2 Citadel Guard Archers)
2 Plastic Statues from the Ruins of Osgiliath

Delivery time: 7 months, UK to USA
Condition of packaging: Sturdy box, minis wrapped in bubble wrap.
Condition of items: As new: unpainted, unassembled.
Recommendation: Favorable, with conditions.

I won't lie to you, this was a difficult trade. I posted my half of the trade (Lossarnach & Khandish) in early February but Dom did not post his side until late August. He made repeated promises to post the goods and just as many excuses after the commitments lapsed. Eventually, after months without communication or updates, it took TOR moderators to shake Dom awake. By then, Dom did not have the miniatures he originally promised to send. I suggested several equally suitable alternatives, which Dom DID deliver along with a bonus miniature as compensation.

Was Dom true to his word and fair? YES, after a fashion. I'm taking this young man at his word that he had a very difficult year in his personal life. I'm completely willing to give Dom the benefit of the doubt and I am FULLY willing to trade with him again but on the condition I receive his half of the trade before I post my half.

I sincerely believe Dom learned a valuable lesson through all this and I wish him happier days in the future. Thank you, Dom, for coming though.

Feedback on Trade

Malbeth and Arvedui, Eorl the young foot and mounted, Captain and banner of Arnor, 3 warriors of Arnor plus others i now forget (all new in blister)

for

4 hobbit shirrfis, 4 hobbit bowmen, 4 hobbit militia, LOTR hard cover rule book, Metal cave troll with spear, 6 knights of Minas Tirith, 24 Morannon orcs

Delivery time: About 6 months
Condition of packaging: Sturdy box, minis wrapped in bubble wrap.
Condition of items: Some as new, others partially assembled/painted (poorly)
Recommendation: I wouldn't trade again.

This was a difficult trade. Dom committed to a deal and didn't fullfil his half of it. I don't believe that Dom ever even had some of the models he committed to in the trade at the time of the agreement. For instance he committed to 24 new wood elves as part of the original deal so I sent my stuff off to him as I had less than 5 trades under my belt. Later once he had my stuff he told me the wood elves were very poorly painted and he said something about them arriving in a trade from someone else and he had been misled. So we had to renegotiate for something else. He sent me a plastic cave troll from mines of moria set instead of the metal one we agreed on. There were also issues with the Knights of Minas Tirith and originally he forgot to include the rulebook.

In short i was unable to rectify any of the above and only thanks to the moderators were some of the issues sorted out. Still didn't get the metal cave troll with spear we agreed on though and I was still very unhappy about the wood elves and the whole way Dom handled everything. I am glad Dom came to the party and sent me the hardcover rulebook. He told me he didn't have a troll with spear and so sent me a metal troll (without a weapon) so I could attach the plastic mines of moria one to it. Sure it is workable but not ok. I am mainly a collector. I haven't played a game in over 5 years. I want the original models. The metal troll with a plastic mines of moria arm is useless to me. Minor point to some but a big deal for me. Very annoyed about that.

I'm not going to give Dom any benefit of the doubt though in relation to the whole trade. I was very specific about what I wanted and repeated myself numerous times yet he still let me down. I felt something was odd when negotiating but due to his record on here I felt safe enough to trade with him and trusted him.

This experience has turned me off trading. Dom is young and had lots of excuses and they may well have been genuine but it is still no excuse to not keep your end of the bargain or at least try to come to some sort of middle ground. I hope he has learnt a valuable lesson from this but he won't be getting a second chance from me and I wouldn't send anything to Dom until you receive your stuff first..
