I'm not sure either. Perhaps is I knew what a "releash" was...

I think he just wanted to point out all the different Formations that don't have models yet.

More or less. I think he's trying to figure out what remains to be released. At the rate that GW is making stuff up, though, there will probably me more than is on that list released.

I don't know, everything seems to be laid out in the rule book already. Maybe this thing in May will be an extension of some sort though.

There is, his post is dated March 10th, how on earth did he know duinhur, dwimmerlaik & mauhur were coming. Why isn't he right about the rest; elfhelm, grimbeorn, pallando etc.
This is major news to me!
Can anyone confirm the models he listed are going to be released in the future?

Because they're all listed in the War of The Ring main book. Thus, it's safe to assume these minis will all be released.

Hum, nope.
Games Workshop has been doing this for a while, releasing army books and not producing the units within these pages.

Warhammer Fantasy - Beastmen
Jabberwock & Ghorgon have no models. Cygor can be converted from the Giant plastic kit, its basically a Cyclop.

Daemons of Chaos - Seekers of Slaanesh have no models, neither do all 3 of the Chariots of the Gods... Though there has been some early sculpts of new Seekers shown over a year ago, still they arent available.

Warriors of Chaos Warshrine & Forsaken - no models yet, book was out in 2008

etc..

Warhammer 40K gets all the love when it comes to having all the models available (plus Forgeworld models).

So don't expect most of the missing models anytime soon ... it would cost them too much for the limited sales they would get from those models.

Where a plastic kit for the Giant in Fantasy can be used for conversions and in many armies - people buy it - but where its a unique beast that isn't going to be selling enough to cover the cost of the production.... (: no point in having it made so soon!

Except for the tyranids, who don't have 1/2 of the models, the stormraven gunship, 1/2 the stuff in the chaos deamons book, and the numerous instances where you don't get the equips you want on your guys. Ex: Ork Killa Kans and Deff Dreads dont come with Kustom Mega Blastas.

To some people, buying from forgeworld is a no go, because of resin, or cost, or inconvenience. For them, the models might as well not exist anyway.

They definately should, I imagine a lot of people would like to play as them..
There's no 'bad' men who you could imagine being one yourself in the game. I know they have the Haradrim, Easterlings etc, but as if I could compare myself to one of them! Wheras I wouldn't mind being a dundending.... who would you rather be; Thrydan Wolfsbane or Suladin the Serpent Lord?????? I know my answer!
When is the next LOTR release likely to be, anyone know?
They should certainly bring out figures from the Northern Realms, ie Men of Dale, Thorin Stonehelm, Dwarves of Erebor etc.
