I love the work you've done so far. I think using the paper mock-ups is a brilliant idea.

However, I'll be a nay-sayer a little bit. I think the "middle" size wings are the way to go. The last incarnation is a bit too large in my mind. Obviously, you need to do whatever makes you happy but if you were asking for a vote, I'd vote for Wing Pair #2.

Thanks, Brent. I like nay-sayers. Very useful people. They said 'nay' when they thought the wings too small, and they said 'nay' when they thought the wings too big.

I've now settled on a size for the wings and have commenced construction. Not saying which size though. :wink:

Thanks for the forgeworld link. That is very helpful and may give me some ideas for the paint scheme.

The back feet are now more firmly attached. Next steps: reworking the head, attaching wire claws to front, modelling feet and claws, then the wings...

Anyway, I'm working on the head tonight. I've just scraped off the features and now wonder if I'll just start again on a new one and stick it on to replace the old. This could be a very good move.

The original head was a bit of a rush job and I was never happy with it.

Your question will be answered when you see the resculpted head...

I was waiting for you to make a comment about the absent head. What took you so long?! :rofl:

Here's the maxilla that I've been working on this evening. I should be writing a script for the school play, marking assessments and beginning reports, but... all work and no play makes Nat too stressed for words.

For those who are unsure, this is the upside down head. I'll be making his lower jaw bone later.

The wire pegs will have teeth sculpted onto them.
