Thanks =)

I want him to be at least as good as a normal Dwarf King (which are only 75 points and have 6 fight and 6 courage).

I might just use him as Balin but use the Ironfist Gauntlet instead of Durin's Axe and change the rule slightly. That way he's the same points and will probably be the same model so I don't have to change things around for playing against other people.

I was thinking for fun maybe making the Ironfist Gauntlet knock opponents down when you win a fight but don't kill. Still thinking anyway =)

Ahh! I forgot about the Fight and courage!
The Dwarf King modification was what I was going for originally as well.
P.S. Since you want an eyepatch on him, using Mardin might be helpful.

Actually, yeah, Mardin is a good choice as you'd need to replace one arm to have a gauntlet anyway and the other can then be switched for a hand weapon. This gives you a spare pike which you can glue to a warrior, make a HUGE shield for another one and you've just got a character and vault warden team for fairly cheap ;)

I understand what you're saying about the tournament. I'd do the same thing, but I wouldn't go to one either, lol :P

The archer looks very nice from what I can see. It'd be nice to get some closer pictures and some of his front as well. As is, I like the purple and the bow colour and the cloak blends in perfectly with the board, making for a very well camoflauged (sp? Randomly forgot how to spell it, lol :P ) ranger! Good job :D

Here's the banner bearer...

Going to be a busy couple of days, so might not get much chance to paint or post for a bit.

Thanks for your positive support!

You'll need to repost the image code because it seems that you moved the file/deleted it after posting ht ecode.

Most welcome with positive support! I like to see the stuff and it's coming along well!

Didn't have much time today, will have no time tomorrow, but managed to get the Fortress Grey on the cloaks and bases (which pretty much finishes the bases) and skinned the dwarves (as in put it on them!)

Blog has a few more comments, but light on today =)

Have a great weekend all!

Really good. I notice that you have some Khazad Guard lurking next to the banner bearer.

Has been fixed and looking very good! Nice to see you managed to still get some painting done on them despite a lack of time. Keep up the good work and keep them coming ^^

Bearded them all today. (Close up pics on blog.)
And yes, got some cheap Khazads on e-bay and also just got a Balin for about a quarter of what I'd have had to pay here, looking forward to getting that package in the next week or so =)

Looking good :D Got a nice spread of beard colours and lots of variety on whom has which colour. If you find that the colours are ever too similar, simply give one a wash and see how it's different or drybrush one (if you have say 3 of each colour, then this let's everyone have a different coloured beard ;) ).

Excellent news about the Khazad Guard and Balin. Have you decided yet about how to make Etako VII?

Well, they're purpled up now:

Tomorrow it's the metallic stuff that'll feel the lash of the brush.

Great tip on the washes for the beards too! Thanks for that!

Etako VII will be Balin with a modified hand and an eyepatch for starters and I'll see how I go from there. (Got a Balin really cheap on e-bay so couldn't pass that up!)

Wow, looking very resplendent and really good and cool now! Keep up the good work and get them done :D Want more :P

Not a problem about the tip ;) It means that you instantly have 12 colours instead of 4, allowing for more variety. Then of course, you can have a few black beards :D I've not yet used the tip (fully) myself, but I only have 36 dwarves, lol :P I also use different shades of browns (such as vermin, beastial and scorched) and lighter colours (rotting flesh can be okay sometime, kommando khaki is good, bleached bone). Of course, you could slip in an ancient Chaos Dwarf beard and do Ultramarines Blue with black ink ;) Gives it a bit of a raven's feathers sheen to it. Best left for VERY few models, sometimes characters or banner bearers are the best choice, but it depends how much you want it to be seen ;)

Sounds very good to me! What's the plan for the hand?

:D Nice, I like how you painted the inner part of the helmets purple, most times they're painted a metal colour. I am planning to paint the insides of my helmets a colour rather than metal too, and seeing how well this worked confirmed that I will do that. :-D
