Thanks for the comments guys! :)

And also, thank you very much for the photography advice, I'll be sure to keep it in mind. :)

Edit: Oops, forgot to answer your question Michael...

Anways, I started off by drybrushing the scales with Codex Grey. This was then followed with a drybrush of Fortress Grey, after this drybrush I washed the scales with Badab Black. I then gave another drybrush of Fortress Grey. Easy, but it has nce results. :)

Well, I figured it's about time I updated my thread. Sadly, I've not really done all that much work on him as of yet. I basecoated a few areas and painted his legs, but that's about it. I keep painting and re-painting areas, as I really want this model to be painted to the best of my abilities. I'm trying to keep the highlights and shading subtle and natural, but at the same time still noticeable. Tell me what you guys think. 8)

Up close the area where the flying stand connects to the fell beast looks like a disaster, but it's really hardly noticeable from a little ways away.

Looking very nice. That's one thing about LOTR miniatures - since the films went for a gritty and realistic look, everything ends up being various muddy shades of dark grey. (Check out how dull and dark the Minas Tirith plate armour actually in in the film.) Youve done a very nice job so far, and I look forward to seeing more of it as you continue.

Thanks for all of the comments everyone! I've not done too much work on the Winged Nazgul, instead at the moment I'm preparing to paint my Morannon Orc Commanders. They're based aside from the static grass, which I'll be buying today. I'll try to post some pictures of them and their bases up later today. :)

Thanks, Mally! I'll do my best to get an update in soon. I think the next part of the beast I'll paint is the neck. I've tried the tail twice now, but it hasn't quite worked out yet.

Thanks again for all of the comments guys! :)
