i was just wondering which unit everyone thought looked the best.

i know there are mixed opinions on the shields, but i really like the black guard when they are ranked up. dol amroth pikemen are pretty cool as well.

for heroes i think that the new haldir RULES

I think the armored Glorfindel and Erestor look pretty sweet. So does the Galadriel, The protectress of Lothlorien one.

i have to say a full six company formation of uruk-hai pikemen is sweet.

Goodness me, yes. An awesome figure that makes me wish he'd gone with the Fellowship after all so I'd have an excuse to have him fight alongside the Grey Company.

I'm also immensely fond of the armoured Elladan on foot and the dwarf standard bearer in 'Dwarf Command 1'.

For units I rather like a number of the metals - Men-at-Arms of Dol Amroth are lovely, as are the Khazad Guard, Grey Company, Clansmen of Lamedon and all the metal elves. On the basis of cost efficiency though I feel bound to nominate the excellent plastic Swan Knights of Dol Amroth and equally gorgeous plastic Morgul Knights. Possibly the plastic Galadhrim too.

Axemen of Lossarnach for me, 4+ companies, followed by Black Guard of Barad-dur and Khazad Guard.

Osgiliath Veterans for me. But Vault Wardens come a pretty close second.

I don't think there's anything more awe-inspiring than 200 fully painted and based goblins barely fitting in deployment zone

My favourite formations which I own would be The White Council and Glorfindel
