hey guys I have an army made of:
20 fighting uruk hais (10 with pike - one of them was converted to a banner bearer. + 10 with sword and shield) and a mounted ringwraith.
I`m having troubles killing my opponent`s gimli, he has 8 defense and 2 wounds and 2 fate points..
WHICH IS THE BEST HERO FOR ME (TO PURCHASE) SO I CAN KILL GIMLI?

or which strategy should I use?

Gimli promblem is his high defense if you can block it somehow you can defeat him or else you must get a mini with high damage

You can use your ringwraith to transfix him, then just swarm him with a bunch of uruks (supported with pikes of course). That would be quite expensive though.
Or, you could just take a cheap hero and outnumber him greatly.

EDIT: I just noticed the other post, listen to their advice instead

Your uruks are strength 4 and against defense 8 they need 6s (which is the same as what strength 5 needs) and isnt that bad so all you have to do is get outnumber gimli. Plus you dont need to focus on Gimli if you play scenarios other where the objective is to annihilate the other persons force.
PLus as has been said, just transfix or compel Gimli with your ringwraith and that either makes him useless and easy to kill of isolates him from him fellow dwarves.

EDIT: PLus Gimli only kills your shield uruks on 5+ so he really doesnt have much of an advantage over you.

solution 1 - take saruman and keep gimli transfixed/blasted around the board
solution 2 - take a ringwraith and keep gimli transfixed
solution 3 - take a barrow wight or shade
solution 4 - take a ringwraith and drain his courage three times then watch him run away once the army is broken
