Ok, to run parallel with my Minis from The Fellowship of the Ring thread link here's my progress on the terrain building side of the Journey. Starting with the humble 4' x 4' grassland gaming board. Other projects coming soon will be Rocky Outcrops, Hills, Trees, Hedges, Rivers, The Bucklebury Ferry with Jetty and the Barrows.... As also you comments are welcome and appreciated.

Thank you

I have taken a slightly different approach to my Rock Outcrops than what's in The Fellowship of the Ring Journey Book as I have gone for a sort of Rock Cluster instead...

Nice start, well executed modular game board.
The rock outcrops give a very natural look, nicely based with flock, clumb foliage and beveld edge.
If all your pieces going to be of this quality, many people going to wish they had such a table. 8)

Thank you for all your comments, more pics will be on there way soon so keep looking out for updates. I'm going to be posting in the order of appearance in scenarios so Amon Hen won't be until the end unfortunately but Amon Sul is very nearly finished and picture of that piece will be posted soon..

@ witch king, yes I just saw, thanks for the add and welcome to The One Ring....

Hey, great to see some good quality terrain being built. I like the addition of the clump foliage, it adds that 'extra little touch' that can make scenery really pop. :yay:
Though I would suggest that you add some more shades of grey and brown, as well as some washes of green (Lichen) to help make it a little more lifelike.

Of course.. The scenarios Battle Reports will be posted soon, I'm just working on the photography and making the final touches to the layout of the pages. I will of course announce it here, on the forum, when they are posted....

This looks very cool, very cool looks just like the movie. The only bad thing I can think of is that the river looks a little bit to much blue.

Very good keep it up :yay:

Wow! I really like how that looks. My friend and I are going to try to do the same thing with going through the journey books. We only got the table built right now but we have most of the required miniatures accept the Uruk-Hai Scouts for the end. (I thought it was about time I started posting on the forums after about 2 years being on this site  )
