I'm ready to paint some war paint for my mumak, but not sure about the patterns or the technique of how to realistically apply it. Any pictures would be grateful.

The Return of the King extended edition would be your best resource. There is a special features DVD that gives you a few photos of the different types of war paint used for the mumakils.
