I want some strong competetive lists, the evil one is designed to beat saruman (bat swarms, fell beast) and the good one is simply designed to be an all hero list which does not contain all the usual suspects. Im assuming legolas will be the main receiver of criticism due to his lack of 3 attacks but his ability to nullify wraiths from the other end of the board is bound to come in useful (especially for boromir).

Evil:
Drurburz
2 bat swarms
barrow wight
named ringwraith on fell beast (not sure which one)
70 goblins
700pts, 75 models, 24 shots, 5 might

Good:
Gandalf the grey on horse
boromir of gondor on horse
eomer knight of pelennor on horse
legolas on horse
twins on horses with armour and bows
700pts, 6 models, 21 might, 5 shots

I wonder why didn't you post this on TLA? :)

Evil: You say that a Fell Beast is anti-Saruman - it isn't. Saruman is anti-wraith, but he's especially anti-fell beast. Other than that looks just fine. Perhaps swap the Fell Beast for a Spider Queen.

Good: Yeah you're right Legolas is rubbish in an-hero force :P Eomer lacks a lance, so if anything Imrahil would be better. Boromir of Gondor is just fine, sure a wraith takes him out, but if you play right he should be able to kill a few models before that happens.

I thought i did put it on TLA? I think my internet died while i was doing it :( If i had the points to get imrahil i would rather have glorfindel. I will take away the fell beast then, leaving me with 50 points to spare? Evil is looking like this atm:

Durburz
Dark Marshall on horse
1 bat swarm
spider queen
gundabad shaman (Im assuming he is 50 points, i dont know where to find his stats)
70 goblins

I'm guessing this is SBG right? I would get another shaman for your horde and possibly a drum also you might want to take a cave troll with you as he would smash Saruman to pieces. If you take 2 Saruman can only immobilise 1 at a time so you will be able to crush him.

Those were my exact words one :P Basically that won't work because saruman can command from 18" away, so three turns before any combat saruman can command troll A 3" back, the next turn troll B can be sorcerous blasted away, which is very bad since the troll has no will to resist, could move up to 6" back and potentially knock over and kill some goblins, then could get wounded. Ontop of that if i take a troll i lose out on 16 goblins, if i take two, i lose out on 32 goblins :(

You can't blast the troll away though as it had strength 6 :)

Yes you can. It will fly back and knock other models with S6 or higher. If you blast a model with S smaller than 6 then they won't knock the Troll down. You can't knock down a Troll with a cavalry charge unless you're S6+ yourself. Read the Sorcerous Blast rules please. And yeah Saruman owns 2 trolls pretty hard due to Command.

I think Dream meant a goblin can't blast the troll back. It would be tragically funny if i turn up with a list tailored to beating saruman, only to not face him once :L

Sorry for double post

The idea of a proper army for good has been crawling into my mind for a while now.... so i came up with this monstrosity

Boromir of gondor with elf cloak 115pts
Eowyn with armour 35 pts
Legolas OR Eomer on horseback with shield 90pts
60 warriors of rohan (20 shield, 20 bow, 20 shield and throwing spears)

63 models, 20/23 shots (and 20 throwing spears), 11 might

OR

Boromir of gondor with elf cloak 115pts
Eowyn with armour 35 pts
Grimbold 50pts
20 warriors of rohan with bow 140pts
20 helmingas with throwing spears and shield 200pts
20 helmingas with shield 80pts

63 models, 20/23 shots (and 20 throwing spears), 10 might, strength 4 EVERYWHERE (besides archers and the cook)

I like the second one better, though thematically and practically I think you'd get more out of Erkenbrand on a horse instead of Boromir. Then you'd have enough points to put Eowyn on a horse (she could use the extra attack) and maybe enough for a few RRG. Still, if you need the F6...

Since these are the lists i wanna bring to the GT, i think the F6 will be of great use to me, as will the horn of gondor... I think boromirs' horn is better than erkenbrands'
