300 pts gondor or isengard sbg

my friends and I are doing a battle next week and everyone has to take 300 pts.
but I just don't know what to choose...
these are the two best lists I came up with:

gondor:

-Forlong the fat
-1 knight of DA on horse

[url]rangers of ithilien[/url]
-damrod
-8 womt with shield
-8 womt with shield and spear
-6 rangers of gondor
-2 rangers of gondor with spear

27 units, 4 might, 8 bows
or

Isengard:
[url]legions of the white hand[/url]
-uruk-hai captain with heavy armour
-8 uruk-hai warriors with shield
-8 uruk-hai warriors with pike
-8 uruk-hai scouts with bow
-1 uruk-hai scout

26 units, 2 might, 8 bows

witch do you think is best and should i make any adjustments?

The gondor list seems better imo, but you should drop the Knight of dol amaroth and swap damrod/forlong for cirion or madril.

As for Isengard switch the captain and the urk-hai scout with Lurtz...

that wouldn't make a legal army: Lurtz isn't in the 'legions of the white hand' army list.

and for cirion: I agree, but I'm not going to be able to get him within a week.

For the record, Lurtz isn't great anyway. He has one extra Might, but 2 less Defence than the Captain with heavy armour and shield. More often than not, he'll be dead before he can use all three Might anyway. Even Uruks with pike are his equal in Defence, and which would you rather take down?

Then yet again, at 300pts good does not have the advantage of ts superior heroes, nor does it have superior numbers or elite soldiery, it must rely on mediocrity to win the day. Which isn't easy. Anyway good luck!
