Hi Guys

This is my first post in the site( I just registered as a member). I would like to ask your opinion on what Ring Wraith is the best for a Harad army, which also includes Serpent Riders and Guard. I am emphasizing this due to their Poisonous Blades rule. I would primarily use the Betrayer as a boost for the Poisoned Arrows/blades effects and since I will have a lot of archers I figured that the benefit will be significant. On the other hand the Shadow Lord gives much needed protection for my low-defence units. I should also add to this point that my primary opponent will be the dwarves(with no longbowmen). :pippin:

Thanks in advance!

I suggest trying them out and see what you like, use a proxy model with friends before you buy the real thing. I imagine the tactics used would have to be different, shadowlord requires you to cluster around him and hang back, betrayer seems more flexible.

It mostly depends on your tactic... and also your opponent...As you have dwarves as opponents betrayer would be more help but shadow lord would keep you more safe from throwing weapons... 8)

Firstly thanks for the answers :) .Yes with the Lord I would be staying back and wait for them to come and force them to charge me, thus their flanks would likely be exposed so I could use my cavalry. Buton the other hand the Betrayer would be especially helpful for my cavalry. Since a 5/6 scores a hit and with 1/2 I will be able to re-roll. The funny thing though is that one of the retail stores here in Greece has a 50% discount on both of them until supplies run out. So my time to try out which one I prefer is really limited :)

Thanks again for your time guys :pippin:

You don't actually have to use the specific model for a specific wraith i beleive proxying wraiths is accepted (even at tournaments). Anyway i would choose shadow lord since he will let you branch out into new armies without being kinda useless. Shadowlord is also more use if you run into any rangers from the north..

I am running a Haradrim "Host of Karna"/"Mahud Wartribe" Army, and battling Dwarves in WOR.
...It's been difficult.

I would reccomend using the Battlehost "Host of Karna" with your bowmen.
You get Pathfinder, Enchanted Cloaks, Reinforcements/Hidden Placement.
A couple other nice bonus' as well.

My next move is to put together the "Army of Umbar", concentrating on Arbalesters.
4 co's of these guys should be pretty effective, I hope. Dwarves are T O U G H.
Dwarves are Stalwart, and have a very high defense too... Put the Betrayer with
the Arbalesters, and re-roll some real fire power.

Betrayer let's you re-roll ALL Misses, which is great. Your already re-rolling 1's with Haradrim.
Having the Betrayer to re-roll ALL your missed shots with Xbows, has to be a better application.

Black Numenoreans would be a good adder as well.
Serpent guards are better than regular Haradrim, just not better enough. IMHO.
