1. Okay for the conversions... Would we need green stuff? Aso how many shields have a box?
2. My father for now doesn't allow e-bay...
3. Also we will use them for WOTR too and Wotr doesn't allow such models... :)

If you're just playing friendly games you don't need to do any converting. Technically you can play the game with coins, rocks, and pieces of wood. As long as you make it clear which models have what equipment it should be fine.

There are ways and means to get hold of shields... ie people have them to trade sometimes.
There are only 8 in a box of galadhrim.

Or you can use a mold to make more out of greenstuff or some other putty, but be careful that you do not ever sell the shields or a model with a greenstuff-made shield for it is illegal.

Give the galadhrim with bows, SPEARS too.

Can't give Galadhrim warriors Bow and Spear. Discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=20564

Did not know that... mostly cause i use LOME galadhrim (ie elves with medium armour) when i use them cause the White dwarf ones suck compared to them! IMO

?? How so? Shields are critical, and the pikes are great. If you want equipment flexibility, you can use the wood elves in the same list. Personally I think the Galadhrim revamp was very welcome.

1) I prefere paying a point less and not having to have an elven blade that 90% of the time I dont want.
2) I also prefere to have spear and bow to just a bow.

Yes I agree pikes and cavalry are cool, and Rumil is amazing but the revamp hurt what was a nice list in my opinion.
Granted it forced people to learn to use elven blades effectively and encouraged more spear front rank fun but 1pt less across my front rank pays for spears on my second rank, thus extending the effective length of my shield wall

Yes, it bothered me at first about the forced elven blade, but not anymore. I believe in earlier versions of the game, elves were unarmed without it, but in the current iteration, nothing is unarmed unless it specifically says so. It could be that it's a balancing issue...not forcing elves to take their special equipment makes them too competitive. In any case it hasn't bothered me since I first played with them.
