Tell me what you think. I decided to go with this list over my Gondor list.

All i don't get is why 817pts? Usually games are set at 50 or 100pts limits like 500 or 750.

You can drop the elven cloak and remove a ranger to be at 799 points

You could give Aragorn a bow for 100% bows.

Well mate you see I would but I don't have an Aragorn model with a bow the only reason I did not add it into the list. I will be using the rangers to break apart enemy formations as Aragon and the flame in the west clean up survivors. I am expecting him to die most games unless the objective that was chosen at the beginning of the game deems that un beneficial.

Ah so the RotK model from the Heroes of the West. Good Aragorn seeing as it is meant to have Anduril on it, but no bow or elven cloak. I prefer the Mines of Moria one as it has a little more action than the similar Fellowship and is plastic.

Giving aragorn a bow is actually very effective, he gets a free point of might to boost his rolls with, so its very likely you will be hitting alot and wounding more than often.

But wouldn't Aragorn be better used as a thick of the fight hero? Giving him a bow is like giving The Twins a bow, it is only if they are outside of range of charging and those Might points would be better spent calling Heroics or making sure you get that 6 to cut up a Troll.

Yeah but a hero like aragorn is gonna be one that is always gonna be kept out of getting close to the enemy thanks to negators, also there is no way of telling how long wit will take for him to get into the fighting.

I agree with suicidalmarsbar, give him a bow if possible.

I'm afraid your list is illegal, the grey company list is not effected by bow limit but to even that out you have to have one dunadain or ranger of the north for every 4 rangers of arnor.
so a list with 20 rangers has to have at least 5 RotN or dunadain.
Also, I would take some more spears.

His list if fine, give Aragorn a bow and get as most spears as you can

I would like to give Aragorn a bow but there are not points for it and my model is bowless. I am running on a very limited budget and with game workshops prices in the au being 90% higher then other countries in some cases and the trade embargo preventing me buying models for a cheaper coast over seas . Aragorn will stay bowless until I can find it in my heart and wallet to buy a model with a bow.

I am just using a list that I can afford as it is $110.00 for 48 rangers of middle earth now and it would cost me $40.00 before I could get a metal Aragorn model with a bow (About $25.00 for the model and $15.00 for shipping) remember because I finecast you cannot buy metal models in store.

GW when will the wallet rape end?
