What if more than one person paints +100 points? Do they both send everyone to Bieberdom or just the highest winner suffers no consequences?

POINTS TO DATE 72

I'm going to upload all my proof pics / WIP / finished result pics into this post in the thread.

First entry : 10 Uruk-Hai Pikes : POINTS VALUE 10

I did not take a WIP pic of these guys as the WIP shots was an afterthought. The proof pic is also pretty useless but if you check either mine or Farmer Maggots trade feedback you can see I have just acquired these guys new on sprue. :)

Image Image

Second Entry : 12 Riders of Rohan / 6 warriors of Rohan : POINTS VALUE 30
Proof Pic

And the finished Result :)

Third Entry : 9 Ringwraiths / 3 Black Numenoreans / 6 Castellans of Dol Guldur : POINTS VALUE 18

and the finished result....

Fourth Entry : 12 Army of the Dead / 1 Rider of the Dead : POINTS VALUE 14

Those are beautiful DMS. Have you thought about doing a basing tutorial? (for flunkies like me who are relegated to doing that unglamorous but vital part). Are you using cork for the rocks? Even the way you get the grass to stand up properly is impressive.
(we are now painting a new army... but they are Tyranids I'm afraid)
PS... still perfecting that Troll base

I had never considered doing a base tutorial.. perhaps I'll look into it once I finish power painting my way through the Bieber comp. The rocks on these uruks are bark which I stripped from a dead tree and then thoroughly dried out before use. Best advice for bases is keep a bits box. :)

Damn you had all those Uruks completed in a matter of days painted up to that standard!? That would take me a week(s) to paint that even if I can reach your level of painting. Though this is my first time "power painting" myself.

Great work DMS, love those Uruk-Hai, currently finishing all 70 of mine or something

Is there still time to join? I'm considering joining even though I have the contents of Island of Blood to paint as well, hopefully before Christmas (unlikely) and I have loads of mock exams (which are pretty pointless).

Decisions, decisions....

You give me too much credit with your comments King elessar!. Clearly you haven't seen the other Dragon pics around this site. Overall I'm happy but I see room for improvement if it wasn't for this darn challenge that I put my foot into. But calling this the greatest dragon you've ever seen is a gigantic compliment, thank you.

It's Gale Force Nine "concrete rubble mix" scenic material. I used their snow and wasn't all that impressed because it's very translucent, though I use white school glue as I do for everything else basing. I realise that the snow is only good on top of a primed white surface because it's transparent on the gray rocks and the blue ice.

believe me Sacrilage i have seen a lot of dragons on this site and while all of them are great i think yours is defintetely the best you have used a range of colours to present your dragon and it works beautifully to create a frosty feeling on the model i think it is amazing and the base has been executed too a very high standard as well :)

Superb painting on the dragon! Personally I'd have kept the colour of the wings more icy, but nicely done. :)

Wow this looks like a fun competition. I have a very limited collection of minis that need to be painted so I'm going to have to just sit back and watch. lol. I'm rooting for DMS!

Well here's my first entry to the challenge.

Proof:
Image

And the painted minis!
One of the wargs was painted before the challenge so doesn't count towards the points. He's just there to hold up the rider.

So the total points I have is: 11pts.

Better get painting if I want to keep up.
