So at 18th December me and probably my brother will take part in our first tournament.
So I have three options for this 500 points tournament:
1)
Boromir of the white tower withs shield 180p
5 Knights of Minas tirith 70p.
10 WOMT with shields 80p.
10 WOMT with spears and shields 90p.
10 WOMT wih bows 80p.
2)
Boromir of the white tower withs shield 180p
11 WOMT with shields 88p.
15 WOMT with spears and shields 135p.
12 WOMT wih bows 96p.
3)
Faramir with heavy armour and horse 85p.
5 Knights of Minas tirith 70p.
11 WOMT with shields 88p.
16 WOMT with spears and shields 144p.
13 WOMT wih bows 104p.
No change to the lists just tell me which you think would be more effective.

I realise you said you don't want any changes, but I have a suggestion for the third list: you could drop three Warriors of Minas Tirith and get Damrod instead. If you did this, you'd be able to swap the archers for rangers. That's what I would do.

However, if you really don't want any changes, I'd go with the third list anyways. :)

I agree with General Elessar. LOL. At 500 Pts you definitely need at least two heroes. But... your choice.

I my self was drawn more to the third cause of more numbers and cavalry, the only other heroes I could get would be rangers of the north, halbarad and gimli

I would go with list 3. If you have the models, I second General Elessar's suggestion in swapping the archers for Damrod and rangers. If not or you don't want to change then list 3 as it is.

I agree with the others, the numbers are nice. I recommend you don't use Aragorn until 700pts+ because you can still have max no without including supporting heroes.

not in the tower of ecthelion list. He would have to drop the heavy armor and the horse and be allied in from osgiliath. THEN hilbert would have to find ANOTHER hero for his Tower of Ecthelion army.

Apparently he can have a bow in the Tower of Ecthelion. I don't have the Gondor in Flames sourcebook so I didn't know any better. A bow might be a good thing to have but it depends on if you want to spend the points on it. Personally, I wouldn't put it on him.
