GW Vault Warden Teams are amazing miniatures. The new finecast must be even better than the old metallics. I wanted to add some of those to my dwarf army but my wallet could not afford the cost. So, I converted some plastic two-handed warriors to Wardens. They are not so nice as the originals but they are cheaper. Below I attach some photos, for more you can take a look at:

Vey well done, awesome indeed. :yay:

I think rather than aking a new WIP for each project, I think you should put them all in the same one. 8)

Really well done, great job! And odd that this should appear now; I was only last night muttering to a guy at the club the idea of doing precisely what you have done. There is a site, called 'An hour of wolves and shattered shields', I think, that has an excellent article on this. Though with the standard of your work I don't think it will apply :-) He (I can't remember the ownre's name but he used to be/is a One-ringer and TLAer) also has a top notch article on converting plastic dwarfses to ballista crewmen.
cheers

"Neldoreth" is his name. His Dwarf army is amazing! A real inspiration for the LotR Dwarf fans and not only. Here are the ballistae:

Very cool conversions. It must be fun to play with so many VW's. And yes, Neldoreth's dwarf army is superb, as well as his goblin one, an inspiration to all!

Inspiring idea, you could even write an article perhaps? Quite a lot of people are into dwarves & they're always wanting to add some vault wardens to their army.

Thank you all for your comments. Drum, if you want, you can visit my blog. There you can find some more photos of the VWTs and a few words how I converted them. It is not a tutorial but some ideas can be used. This is the blog:

A friend of mine asked me to convert an Elf with sword miniature to a Galadhrim BB. I used an old plastic flag and below you can see the result. It is his turn now to paint it. :-D
