Hi guys, hereby I show my rohan figures. I have a small collection. I'm going to make a 400 points army in WOTR, and several heroes.

But first of all, I painted 10 riders. These are not mine, but my friend's figures. He gave me 40 used morannon orcs for the painting.

I used the basic colors. For washing I used the army painter quickshade strong tone. Its a great product for mass armies. I already used the matt varnish, so here is the result:

Nice riders :) I'm going to paint some rohirrim soon as well, so we'll see how that goes...

Be careful, don't paint the stick under the figure, cause if you do, then it will be hard to insert to the horse.

Another hard thing is that every horse stands only on one foot. It looks great, but you have to be careful, not to break it.

Very good painting, especially the variation in horse colour mixed with uniiform riders. You should put rocks under the horses in-the-air legs to make them stable.

I don't want. I know, it is risky, but I always remove the grass lines from the running figures, cause I think the composition is much more exciting, if they are almost not touch the ground. You can feel the speed, the moving.
I have a Balrog for example. You know, the Balrog is walking. The upper leg got a rocky part to stand stable. I removed it, and I put a strong pin to the other leg. It looks very nice especially in that size.

Like I sad, these riders aren't my figures. I wont make the bases for these, the owner will.
Soon I will start to make my own small Rohan army, it will contain 4 comp warriors, 2 comp archers and 3 comp riders. Just a small but effective army. Now I'm working on the captain and the banner b. for the warriors. Those are almost done, pretty nice conversations.

That is the quickshade strong tone :) I just painted it white, and I added some grey to the end of the legs and some grey dots to the back. :-D
