What kind of varnish did you use on the Easterling footmen? Your painting is very crisp, bravo! This may be off-topic but can you post some pictures of WWI?

Those Ringwraith conversions are fantastic! And I love the scheme for the Rohirrim!

Here's a few choice shots of the WWWII minis, the Germans are my own and the Soviets are my wife's:

For varnish we use Ronseal Matte Varnish - it does what is says on the tin :lol:

What models are the Soviets? (gas masks?) They look familiar.

These are WWWII armies (Weird World War II) from Secrets of the Third Reich by West Wind Productions - a cracking game to play by the way.

Just to show that I haven't been totally idle I thought I'd put up a couple of shots of what I've been working on, some command models:

This makes 70 Easterling Swordsmen completed now (bar some flocking), next up will be the Spear men.

My wife has also been busy so here's a quick shot of some of her work:

C&C welcome as always.

Nice Easterlings you have there Phil look forward to the group pic. The Rohan heroes are nice too, you say your wife painted them ? hmmmm maybe i should get my wife painting too :idea:

Amy (my wife) actually has quite a large Rohan force and has just started work on her Gondor forces which I'll post up on here as well.

We have a week off work next week (yay) so I will endeavor to take some nice army shots of everything we have completed however for now I have taken a couple of quick (read shaky) photos of my current force, bar the Nazgul on Fellbeast, in their boxes:

When we play LOTR we play big

We're planning on playing the Battle of Pelanor Fields with my cousin as he has an Orc force that is monumental as well as enough Minas Tirith wall to line one end of our 8x4 table. We're going to do this once everything is painted which should be around Christmas time (or to be honest we'll probably have a go at Christmas regardless of any unpainted models). I'll attempt to take some photos of that.

Well some more slow progress has been made, as of today I'm finishing the second batch of ten spearmen just leaving another two bathces to go for these. Here's a badly taken before and after sort-of shot:

My dear lady hasn't been lax either and is really cracking on with some of her men of Gondor now, here's some WIP pics:

It really feels like I'm getting somewhere now as I now have around 120 painted models however I have just less than that to go yet.
