Thanks! I'm trying, but I've been mucking about stripping some Gondor metals. Between that and getting some Haldir's Elves in the mail today, I'm almost itching to take a break from Orcs!

Very nice morannon Orcs, I like some of the conversions better than mine own. Nice shield designs too/

Thanks guys! After being on here so long it's nice to get good feedback now that I've finally got around to posting some of my stuff

@Shieldmaiden: Not me, I got them off another member here. I haven't done much eBay surfing in quite some time.

@Gothmog: I don't like having my Orcs look too similar, and with Morannons all having similar armour I needed to do weapon and shield swaps. Those original metal conversions were a pain; they were done when my work table was in the basement with little light. I cut the hell outta my fingers doing those

Good news everyone! I've just finished the Orcs, Grishnakh and Drummer. I'll take pics after work tomorrow (when it's light out) and get them up in the evening. I may base a few more finished pieces and post them too.

I must admit, it's been rough going with these last few Orcs. I think I'll switch it up some for a while after these.

Nice painting, you've handled the Orcs well, and taht conversion looks right at home, and yet, it looks effortless well done.

You've remiinded me of how much I really really want to get my hands on some of those metal Orcs though

Thanks! Yeah, his weapon hand came from one of the plastic Morannon Orcs. The positioning on the original model isn't much better, but I should definitely have picked something better for the hand swap...
