What evil army should i choose!!?

I have just finished my Gondor army and have been thinking about making an evil army i love to paint so the most detailed one would be good but i do want a good one for a game and considering the most common army i would be fighting will be elves so it would be good if i can defeat them easily if you could help me that would be great :-D

I would wait for the Hobbit releases, if you dont like the new evil models (Goblins) then you can always start another army

ha ok i was going to go in on sat to get the models its not that i dont like them i like them all so i carnt choose if you get me

well uruk hai stand the best chance from stock models as they have a nice defence and are strength 4.

The detail on all plastic evil models is of a similar standard, except Moria goblins, which is quite poor.

Haradrim are probably the best against Elves, especially Wood Elves.

No matter what else, don't go for furbies

The choice is yours. Every army has strengths and weaknesses. But you may also choose on the basis of what you like the look of.

Well.. If you have a Gondor Army their chief opponent is off course Mordor. The positive thing is that it is a diverse army just as Gondor is.

Uruk Hai are pretty good but if you start a "Fallen Realms" army I suggest you buy Easterlings in stead of Haradrim! They have a high defence, high strength and can choose to use their spears as pikes.

well you cant go wrong with a couple of boxes of standard troops. if you're going uruks then maybe some crossbows. I would also mail-order Mahur of the GW website and maybe pick up the command box.

oh right thank you but what about the easterlings because i'm looking at the figures and they all look very good but i have never seen easterlings in battle so i wouldn't know what to get.

The decision is really up to you but in my opinion easterlings are a really boring army to collect. You get you standard troops, kataphrakts(sp), amdur, khamul and..yea that's it, pretty limited. I'd would go for any other evil army like harad, isengard or mordor believe me the diversity in these armies will you interested in collecting and gaming for a long time!

mordor are like gondor, they do everything average. Lots of variety to choose from with a decent selection of heroes. Before you buy anything, I would have a flick throught the sourcebooks and see what takes your fancy. My mordor army is mainly morannon orcs and trackers with troll support.

Hi thanks everyone I have chosen uruk'hai and I have got one troop of scouts and mauhur if u could help what else do you think I should get for Uruk'hai.

Scouts with Mauhur are good, otherwise I'd stick with the more heavily armoured legion, you'll probably need a couple boxes, and a command blister to go with them. Vrasku and crossbows are potent, just know that using crossbows takes a little more patience and finesse than bows, since you can't move and shoot. I also have a fondness for Sharku and warg riders, but you might not need them if you have Mauhur. Other than that, a set of berserkers is always useful. I've not found Uruk hai shamans to be worth the points...for goblins and orcs they're almost essential, but uruks have that edge in courage that makes their shamans not as useful.

Speaking of orcs, they do make natural allies, especially if led by Grishnack, and they can provide cheap spear support.

ok thank you so i get another two box's of uruk'hai warriors and ill get vrasku and ugluk so thats ok and some crossbows right thank you all for the help its been verykind and when i have buil my army i will add some pictures.
