It's not really leaked pictures- we can just scan pics in from the rulebooks. The pic of the Elf cavalry earlier in the thread is just a photo from the rulebook.

I'll get scans of all the new stuff and post it. As long as the big rule book fits in my scanner...

I said leaked pictures because I don't think it would go down well with GW and the moderators of this site if I just asked: "Could someone scan the entire OFFICIAL GW RULEBOOK for me?" ;)

Thanks btw. :)

I'm not a moderator on this forum but I am a Ranger on TLA so speak with some experience. Post images scanned from a GW publication and it's asking for legal trouble from GW. Fair-use provisions don't apply in this case since there's no critiquing of the publication.

GW have to defend their copyright vigorously (leaving aside contractural obligations with New Line et al) and would willingly shut down this site if pressed by blatant copyright violations. They acted firmly over the 'leaked' Radagast sculpt earlier this year, for instance.

I pre-ordered EfGT at 7 am on 24th November. It was dispatched on Thursday 29th November but as of now it hasn't arrived nor have I received my tracking ID. Usually when I order from GW it arrives the day after dispatch. Anybody else in the same situation?

Agreed, thanks for making the point. Any posts with scanned pics will be removed.

No problem, it's hard to know where to draw the line. I'm sure GW appreciates all the excitement, but better safe than sorry. The Radagast issue showed they do pay attention...

Fair enough, in that case I will not scan any pictures then :D
You'll all have to go buy your own books to see the new models ;)

There are quite a few reviews of the book out, including a youtube video which gives some pretty good pictures. Just google "the hobbit strategy battle game review"

Didn't think that this needed is own thread so I'll put it here.

I found a rather amusing error in one of the photos in the Hobbit Rulebook. On page 84 "Advanced Rules" is it just me or did Fili find a way to clone himself and bring his clone unnoticed into Thorin's Company? lol! Or maybe Kili is disguised as his brother?

At least they are different sculpts from one another. :)

Thnx for the heads up, so there are three different Bilbo's? (EFGT, one looking at his feet while dashing foward and one where his arms are kind of spread out), perhaps these will appear in some adventure boxes...

Uuhhhmmmmm wow.

Jeez sounds way OP.

But I'll use and abuse those for sure. :P

I think I'll ally a warband of 6-12 in with my Rivendell Army.

Could you imagine the following?

Gwaihir charges and tosses an enemy, knocking down a large group.

Elladan & Elrohir lead a charge of Rivendell Knights for +1 attacks plus double for the enemies on the floor. Next turn, pull a heroic move to get them just out of range, of the other models and fire some 4+ arrows into the enemy.

just remember, as stupid as it sounds, the twins cannot lead a warband of rivendell knights. The only heroes who can (at the moment) are elrond, lindir and an rivendell knight captain.

That actually wouldn't work, you can only throw stuff AFTER you win the fight. You could, however, have Elrond cast Nature's Wrath then charge in. Then next turn, recharged Elrond with Lindir, heroic move out of there, then shoot.

And ya, Fili did manage to clone himself!

He didn't say that the twins would lead the warband, he said that they would lead a charge. They can be taken as allies.
