They aren't going to be in the first movie, so they aren't going to be released til next year at the earliest.

Found an other site with all poses of the Grim Hammers:
http://www.chaos-dwarfs.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=12392&pid=207766
Since there are so many, I wonder what GW will do with 'em ...
A multi-part plastic kit maybe? Or will they be packaged by four in FC? As they did with the old Khazad-Guards, there were nine poses too.
What about a command? There's a captain.. perhaps a banner/drummer/hornblower will follow? I wonder... what do you think?

Cheers!
Jorn

Well I hope for plastic kit with fc command set? Just like the old days!

I didn't think Khazads were in finecast yet?

Anyway, those Dwarves are sweet! I'm gonna need at least a couple boxes worth!

Oh no, they aren't, don't worry :P I was talking about the metal versions. There were 9 poses of them if I'm correct, and they were packaged by three, so I wonder what they'll do with these. If they're FC then probably by four, like most warrior models these days.

And most likely a command set in FC as Harfoot said.

Elf cavalry looks amazing! So does everything actually. And i prefer that Radagast much more than the one in the Escape from Goblin Town set.

The Dwarves are amazing, me buy! On a side-note, in one of the links the author said that LoTR is in 25mm scale. I was under the impression that GW had changed the range to 28mm. :?

I thought they are 28mm, maybe the dwarves are 25mm?

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it but I quite like the mounted Yazneg model, the decorrum around the shoulders, added with the lance, just makes me really like him for some reason. i do hope he has rules.

@Harfoot, regarding scale:

Old plastics: 25mm scale
Metal/Finecast/new plastics: 28mm scale

I'm pretty sure that Yazneg is Azog.

Why would they change him to such a degree? I'm not saying you're wrong I just don't get PJ & co's logic for such a thing. And then GW's for not properly naming him.

I took a quick look through the big rulebook today (mostly at profiles and points values) and I'm actually not very impressed with the Grim Hammers' statline. For as many points as a Khazad Guard, they are weaker, less armoured and don't have the Bodyguard rule. Where are these points made up?

I guess by their hammers. My reasoning for Yazneg is that he has a lance and I'm pretty sure he was shown on a white warg. I have no idea why his name is different, but I get the feeling we'll find out in a couple nights!

Also, the actor who plays Yazneg was originally cast as Azog. Maybe they cut Azog from the film/changed him to Yazneg but GW forgot to change the name in the rulebook?

I heard they had recast Azog though. Anyway, this just smacks of unneeded changes.

The hammers on the new Dwarves don't seem to be any more effective than 2-handed axes. I guess GW are trying to push their unnecessary new weapons rules though...

Yazneg is played by John Rawls

Azog is played by Manu Bennett

As such, I assume they are different characters in the movie. I think the confusion may have arisen because John Rawls was originally set to play Azog, but Manu Bennett has confirmed on Twitter that he is playing Azog, so you can be safely assured Azog is NOT Yazneg and that Azog is in the movies.

He looks bad ass, and rides a white warg. I went to the première last night.

I'm not by any means a fan of his prosthetic arm, or his clean appearance. I'd have liked him to be a bit more Gothmog-esque (speaking of whom, where were Gothmogs prosthetic fingers in LOTR? Surely the Orc Lieutenant of Mordor would get treatment to equal a Warlord from the North!).
