Well damn. I was planning on making some Hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs out of Space Wolf Fenrisian Wolves, Hunter Orcs, old Warg Riders and WGF Orc bits. Ah, maybe I'll still do that...

You can still use hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs if you want, just be aware that they will never earn their pts back.

Would anyone be kind enough to take some high res/decent quality pics of the Grimhammer dwarves from the rulebook? all of the images we have of them so far are a bit shoddy and it would be nice to see the individual sculpts on the page with their rules.

I doubt I'd ever play a game with them, it's mostly just for a themed force and because I had the required components to do it.

It does seem odd though; they pay more for the Warg than any other Orc does. Isn't a Fell Warg the same as a Wild Warg?

Same profile, but they come with a not very useful special rule about LoS that they have to pay for.

Ok, because the loose Wargs both cost the same amount I thought. A Hunter Orc pays the same price for one, doubling his cost and losing his most important special rule. Correct?

a loose Fell Warg cost 1 more pt than a Fell Warg, so the mtd combo costs 1 pt less than the two seperate, but they are better seperate. yes the Hunter orcs double the cost whilst losing the very good special rule.

Good, good, I'm going again Friday. Did anyone else spot the "Warhammer Dwarfs" @ The Battle of Moria? Talking mohawks, war paint, huge sideburns. They looked like Berserkers. Really hoping the Dwarves of Erebor match the Grimhammers but with spear and shields, or the Grimhammers turn out to be a multipart plastic kit.

Ya, I really liked the look of Dwalin with a mohawk. I would hate to have to fight him (or any of the other dwarves with mohawks), even though I'm a solid foot taller than them lol.

I wouldn't want to fight them either, I'm fond of my knees!

That was Dwalin!?!?!!!!! Wow I really can't wait to see it again. I recognized Balin I think...GW better capitalize on those designs and give us some fully armoured character Dwarves.

I don't know how well the new Grimhammers mesh with the existing Dwarf range, does anyone have an opinion?

Depends how you paint them. If you do them up like your other Dwarves I don't see it being a problem. I only got brief glimpses, but their helms look like the Khazad Guard ones to me.

I am mostly just concerned with scale issues (and of course price). It looks like they are all good quality sculpts so far.

I don't think they mesh at all and I'm getting rid of all my old Dwarves, never really got into the GW designs anyway

We still haven't seen the Warriors, just the Grimhammers.

Anyway though, does that mean you'll have a trade thread up soon?

I really wanted to start Dwarves as well but never had the time/money to invest early. I have most of the major Heroes but only got one box of Dwarf Warriors at the time. So I'm really interested to see what we get for a full Dwarf army as the films progress. It may be a good chance to start one up that is visually different from those played locally.

YES! I tried late last night, but it wouldn't let me upload pics directly from my phone, as an attachment. So I'll try uploading to photobucket later and go that route. Bout to go see it again in an hour :)
