Of course :-D
I was talking in general hoping that some guy from GW will see this conversation and actually do something.

I don't want to complain but I see that the sales for GW for hobbit are not going well(my indication is that the Escape from Goblin Town Limited still hasn't sold out after 2 months of releasing date) and instead of actually doing something to restart the hobby they think like this:
"ok let's see now by taking advantage of the movie how much money we can earn from the people out there and then good luck to all who purchased hobbit products"
Sorry that was off the topic but I needed to write it :)

Agree with the comments above, nice models, but £30 for 6 mounted elves really? Its just not realistic pricing.
I would like to buy them, I have a reasonably well paid job but look at the pricing and think I just cant afford it.
How do people manage to buy for their kids?

This sums up my feelings too... I have been collecting Lotr for years and have spent thousands. I have a well paid job, but simply cannot see how they can justify the pricing. I will NOT buy any hobbit stuff and will NOT get my son into it - I will encourage he passion for lego as even that's cheaper!

Come on GWS sort your prices out and let us start buying please!!!!
I want to buy them, but they far too expensive - cut them by 50% and watch the range take off and sell like mad fire.
There's an old adage "there only worth what people are willing to pay".
Read above and you will see I'm not willing to pay... So they are simply not worth it.

Hi,

imo the new models really are great, especially Radagast and the mounted elves! But as everyone the prices put me off...the hardest really is Elrond...35€ for two minis.

What I don't understand ist why GW doesn't realise that if the sell such awesome things as high elf cavallry at maybe 20€ per box, people will buy more boxes, wich brings in a regular cash flow. Like this you have to take a mortgage to buy one box :D

I know, at half the price I would have all the hobbit releases...
...currently at these prices - I have none!

...again,
"they are only worth, what people are willing to pay"!

For me, 1/2 what they are charging.

Sign!

I own every lotr-mini that GW ever had released, but I only have bought the hobbit starter-set. At this prices and the poor finecast-quality I'll stop collecting GW! There are enough other systems, where I get the value I expect!

Sorry GW, but you obviously lost connection to reality!

I just emailed GW, details on the GW contact web page, now 1 email will not do anything, but if everybody does then who knows? OK it wont change anything but it might get the message across.
Made me feel better as well!!!

Also right with you Leonardis, I have spent £1,000s over the years, have all the LOTR figure except a handsful. But enough is enough, cant justify the spend

Sadly I believe their only response to falling sales will be to raise the prices further.

I really want to get the new rulebook, to start a Dwarf army, a Hunter Orc army led by Azog Yazneg and Fimbul, and make a Goblin Town gaming board but at these prices? No. I think not.

Instead I've been buying LOTS of Ebooks on my Kindle Fire. The Hobbit, The Hobbit Soundtrack, Tales from the Perilous Realm, The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun; more Anglo Saxon history books than I can count, as well as books on Anglo Saxon poetry, songs and stories; the Soundtracks for Seasons 1 & 2 of Game of Thrones.

Don't know why the high elf cavalry is $85 when the mounted wargs are $70. I could even accept the prices if they were the same as the current lotr range even though that is too high in my opinion. But I just can't bring myself to buy anything currently apart from efgt and bolg which I already got.

I received the trolls and white council as gifts but shudder at the thought of such rip offs, like others have said I can afford to buy the whole Hobbt range if I wanted but I feel with the current prices it is a waste of money.

Hopefully GW get their act together before Smaug because that is one mini I must have, oh boy the price on that might be over $200 :(

Was seriously considering getting Mounted Elrond, then I saw the price and I no longer want it.

From what I've heard, the reason why the prices are so high is because New Line charged GW a lot for the fact that there is now a 3rd movie. I suspect that the prices next year (after the yearly price hike) would be at todays level, but since GW themselves had to pay more, we of course get stuck with the higher prices now.

Does anyone else remember when Lord of the Rings was GW's cheapest game? Now it's quickly becoming their most expensive.

I very much want those Elven Knights, but at that price I'm not buying them. I'll keep a sharp eye out for bargain sales and the like, but I'll only pay what I feel comfortable paying for them.

My only purchase from this batch will be the Grimhammers. Even then I'm sort of on the fence, because their profiles frankly suck. To hell with throwing weapons, give me the increased strength and defence of the Khazad Guard any day of the week!

Anyone else notice the rip off between the Rivendell Knights and the Hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs? The Rivendell knights aren't sculpted into the horses like the Orcs were on the wargs so you had to buy both the mounted and non ridden Wargs.
