Nice work! Will you be starting battle companies again, as they were very amusing!

Very nice work Chris! I really like the variation in each model, you've done a great job at making each one unique. They all look sufficiently battered and bedraggled and begrudging, just as veterans should be!

Funnily enough my favourite for each section is the second from the left :P I also quite like the very last archer.

I know these will look great painted, get 'em done asap!
Thanks Knighty :) Strangely, we have the same favourites too :D

Cheers Sam - I'm looking forwards to painting them; will be a (hopefully) nice change :)

Thanks :) Probably not for a while, trying to get painting done in my free time

I like what you have done with them, and the conversions don't look at all hard, they seem to fit in well with the ones of GW. Did the guy at the bottom right, accidentally put on his great-great-great-grandfather's helmet instead of his own? :-D

As a slight break from painting Goblins, I've painted up Faramir to lead my Gondor - which will be representing the defenders of Osgiliath as they are portrayed in the Return of the King. I'll be using my Gondor army to improve my metallics and faces. Since taking the pictures, I've repainted Faramir's face, the white tree on his armour was a pain to get right.

That is very well executed. :yay:

Did you get the cloak colour scheme and base design from the Gondor & Mordor armies at the back of the OR book, or does yours just look uncannily simiilar?

Thanks Gothmog :) I think it's just they look uncannily similar in this case - I based Faramir off of the movie 8)

My first batch of Osgiliath Veterans fully painted, including a group shot with Faramir; I really enjoyed painting them. (And to a certain Dunedain Ranger: prepare to be crushed ;))

Some good work here Chris, the conversions look even better painted up and I quite pike the dark tones you've gone for. Gruff, gritty determined veterans, hardened by their toils... unlike mine who have just about given up on fighting  hope they do well in your battles to come 8)

Any hints on what's next to jump on the cutting/chopping/painting board?

these look great and provide great inspiration because i want to do something similar with some spare WoMT in order to make a company in WoTR. Great work.

 Thanks Knighty :) I really look forwards to using them - I hope they don't feel exhausted by all they've been through and fail miserably (although if my force is broken Faramir will be rolling Snakes Eyes first turn and running away like my Elves...)
Currently have Druzhag and some plastic Rangers on the painting bench 8) (along with many other projects...)

Thanks Corsair :) I'm really looking forwards to battering up the next lot - another 2 warbands to go 8)
