Very very impressive, particularly the stone giant although your attempt of Azog is admirable!

Hi!

Thanks for your comments!

The stone giant is inspired by an picture of War in the North.

I normaly sculp with FIMO soft and mix quick. The stone giant is made of airdrying clay with some additional Greenstuff.

In the movie there is a scene on the weathertop witch I've take for inspiration. At this scene the white warg looks like a cat.

Really nice work on those! I really like the stone giant but I LOVE the Azog figure! :yay: I want a figure like that too...

Hello again!

Today I update my last scultpings: First is Beruthiel

Image

I've used this picture as inspiration. When I look on the unreleased mini from GW, I'm not the only one! ;-)

But on GWs Minis I missed one typical element - the cats!

The next one is an old project of mine, which uses damaged parts. In this case, it is the Horse of Theoden.

Mounted Grima:

And the last, my entry for the sculpting contest. An attacking dwarf:

Maybe I reposition the left arm, because the angle ist not 100% correct.

All very good, I think your weak point is faces though, and that's not a put down. I think if you went in and thinned out beruthiels face, give her cheek bones instead of Joel's you'll nail it. And if your medium doesn't allow for that kind of detail, crack open the greenstuff. With more practice it'll put you on ukfreddys level. I love sculpting, but I'm comfortable with Armour, and hair etc, not faces. So kudos for not giving up.

Good Stuff!
Beruthiel - I like the clothes and overall a very good replication. She's just a little full in the face I feel.
Grima - Nice to see you completing a figure in greenstuff! I like the face and lattice arms. The cloth folds aren't bad but they are quite soft on the back.
Dwarf - great - except for his left arm, which you have acknowledged is bent back at an impossible angle.
Having said all that, You continue to amaze me with your ability to use this stuff on such a small scale. I recommend you get some ProCreate. It's slightly softer and easier to push about than Green Stuff, so you may find the transition from polymers to epoxys easier.

Amazing sculpting. I love the dwarf and mounted Grima, and the hair on Beruthiel is particularly impressive.

Hi!

As I was not happy with the left arm, I have removed it complete and respulpt it with an other, I hope, more realistic angle:
