May releases? (Azog rumors abound!)

Sorry if anyone was expecting a link hehe... just recently, on other GW forums there's been a lot of talk about good ol' Azog coming this month!! Anyone here got any pics, or anything at all??

. You beat me too it. I just e-mailed GW about Azog coming this month ( well i actually emailed about my bolg) and was about to start a topic. Oh well! I actually think there will be a new Thranduil. Well Azog might be there but i think more June or July.

You really think Thranduil is coming? He wasn't really 'in' the film...

He would have been before it was split into two movies. Narzug and Bolg werent even in the first movie yet the miniatures are made. This probably means Tauriel might come out soon. Plus i love Thranduil :-D

I really doubt we'll get any Mirkwood stuff before the big Christmas release. There's no doubt the miniatures are done and ready but I think they'll hold them back to be released throughout next year. I reckon GW probably thought that Narzug and Bolg (both released in the first month) would still make some appearance in the first film, hence their release.

That's what I thought as well, but apparently GW have a policy of not wanting to keep stock on hold - hence why we got the Warriors of Dale despite them making a minimal appearance in the movie.

I actually think we were always gonna get warriors of Dale this year. After all Dale is destroyed in the prologue so is unlikely to be featured in the other two movies. I'm almost certain that the men of lake town will have a modified look/colour scheme to represent the passing of time.

It's very similar to the Last Alliance Numenorian warriors that were released from the Fellowship prologue and the later soldiers of Gondor from Return of the King.

I kinda doubt GW has had any plan of making any big changes to the release order. That's why we got Narzug and Bolg. The Azog change obviously threw them for a loop, as did the split to three movies. I actually don't see why we would be getting a new Mirkwood themed set. The current set hasn't sold out of the limited edition, and they probably had only ever plann end on two sets. None of this points toward a big Mirkwood release, and actually points more to them wanting to get as much hobbit stuff out as possible to make money quickly.

I wouldn't expect any major Mirkwood updates until movie two. However it is possible that sometime between now and Christmas we'll see a new Legolas and Tauriel coming out.
