Actually, they would have been about the same size, they would have been spread out more than they are now, but they wouldn't have been as long a line. As it is, there isn't any other base that would fit it.

Hi guys,

got my Radagast this morning! Overall quality is good to ok, a few small bubbles on the bunnies and one on his nose. The base is NOT the dragon base, it's a new size...a bit larger than the mordortroll base but of oval shape. But it looks like it will be a nightmare to put this togehter...the pieces of the sled are extremely thin and fragile.

I posted a detailled review of the mini the blog: http://jomada-adventures.blogspot.de/2013/05/unboxing-radagast-brown-on-sleigh.html! Also make sure to check out HvM's tutorial on the same blog-he wrote a nice article about painting faces!

Good Web site you have Gunslinger, thanks. The new base size is interesting. Looking forward to seeing you build of this one

Just bought it... and I don't know what you mean by a new base size because it's the exact same base as the Dragon, Mumak, 40k monsters (Heldrake, Tervigon, Skull Cannon etc.)... are you sure you're not just misremembering?

@river zora: Mumakil base is 180mm in length and 140mm in width! So theres a huge difference ;)

Did anyone get their pre-orders today. The past couple months I received delivery on release day, but nothing today. Tracking says I'm not supposed to get it until Wednesday. -.-

Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised that they made a new base just for Radagast.

Maybe the Mumak one is bigger, but it's DEFINITELY the same size as the dragon one. You can tell it's not a specifically new made one. It says 2006 on the bottom. It's the 40k large monster base.

You are right! I thought the dragon base was the mumakil base and as you stated I remembered wrong, as I got the dragon and no Mumak...I should have done some more research! Sorry Guys! I will correct this!

That's okay, I was wrong too about the Mumak base being the same as the dragon one! Mistakes all round... still a nice miniature :P

Only just received my advanced order of Radagast this morning :( First impressions is that it looks a pretty fun model, some interesting bits of terrain for the base. Cast looks pretty clean but as Gunslinger says there is a question of it's overal strength... Will try and get my review online in the next day or two....

Sorry Kev, didn't mean to worry you... I don't mean it's a similar casting disaster as the Beast, I meant it was just as frustrating, almost, getting the sleigh together. It has very little strength, due it being Finecast, which makes it a bit of a pain. Maybe it was my technique....

Looks great assembled though and you are gonna just l LOVE the room on the base.....

Yeah. It'll be next year sometime, I'm guessing. probably worth the wait, though, those old spiders are lacklustre models and the chances are reasonably good any new ones will be plastic.
