I'm painting some elves at the moment and I'll be lucky to get them looking half as good as yours. Fantastic job.

Wow

Love gandalf. He looks like he's in a cavern because of the gloomy light on him

Nice painting Dom. I assume the blue sword is representing the fact it is an elven blade?

Thanks all for the comments on Gandalf.
Yes Rob, Glamdring is - as you know - an elven blade forged in Gondolin and therefore glows like Sting. The sources are a little contradictory, some saying it glows blue like Sting and some say it glows white but I figured blue would be easier to paint!
I've just finished the Great Goblin too, picture doesn't really do it justice as I had to do a fair bit of editing (and I'm rubbish at that) to bring out the detail as my camera only wanted to focus on Gandalf.

Quote:
I've been on a painting frenzy recently and I've just finished the Great Goblin from the Escape from Goblin Town box set. I've saturated the photo a little to bring out the detail at the cost of showing the true colours of the miniature: it's actually less yellow with a few crimson sores dotted around his grotesque body.

ooh I like The scheme you've chosen for Elendil! Lovely colour choice and it makes him look a bit more 'Arnor-ish'
:yay:

Thank you Dorthonion, I was particularly pleased with Gandalf.
Cheers Sid, the aim was to make him Arnor-ish so I'm really chuffed you picked up on that!

Gandalf's base looks fantastic. I absolutely love the picture with the black background with the Goblin King.

I like the idea you aren't afraid to experiment and go with what you fancy. It's a very dull world where everybody treads the same old path. I wish I had a fraction of the talent I see on here.
