Hello everbody, this is just a post with interesting screenshots from the trailer's and latest production blog. Somethings that interested me the most was that Bolg seems to be coming to the next film in the screenshots of his pre-rendered character. The model shows the red facepaint he has as well as his mace with looks very different to Azog's. Additionally we see that the Orcs (Hunter or Gundabad?) attack Laketown and Thranduil (and forces?) repel the invaders. Legolas is seen carrying Orcrist with Tauriel and his fellow Elves possibly showing that the Company isn't aided by Legolas but captured by him. Also for the new Elves' look we know that there are 3 variants. The heavily armoured ones with the shields, the lightly armoured archers on the fort and the ones most shown in the trailers that seem to only utilise chain mail and greenish/brown leather. Gandalf is seen walking through Dol Guldur which could lead to the scene he is behind bars in the new trailer, and possible finding Thrain. The giant quad ballista looks nice and the character firing it doesn't bear resemblance to Bard. The Orcs also seem to be mobilising for some giant Helms Deep style battle which could be the battle for Dol Guldur. As for the captive Orc in the new trailer, some say this is Narzug, I personally don't think so. Benedict Cumberbatch has done an amazing job for Smaug's voice, really looking forward to his lines. The last thing and what bothers me the most is the screenshot with a projectile (arrow?) flying towards the dark object in the top of the frame. In motion (the trailer) it looks like the killing arrow Bard would fire to kill Smaug but I really hope not.

The ballista things in Dale are from the first movie, its in the extended part. They shout at Smaug but it just reflict..
