The changes are in the new Hobbit rule book. Basically, pikes (and spears) can now support 2H weapons. However, pikes can only support the front warrior or other pikes, so you can't do the "spear sandwich" anymore, ie, can't do:

warrior <-- spear <-- pike

It has to be:

warrior <-- pike <-- pike

Oh i have the miniature rulebook yet to finish reading will i find it in here?

so this weekend i had a two on two battle. Two armys of 500 each against two armys of 500 also. I used the following Isengard lay out and let me tell you..... i annihilated!!

WB1 - Lurts 4 beserker 4 pikes

WB2 - Vrasku 9 crossbows

WB3 - Ugluk 8 pikes 4 Shields

thanks to all replying and giving me ideas on how to make most of the points we had
