I have to admit I actually do like it!

Looks like it could definitely be Bolg. Hes pale and half naked, like his daddy. Family resemblence?

I must admit that I like him. And really for the fact that he has the pieces of metal on his head.

Looks cool.

Understand the desire to give him a resemblance to Azog, and get rid of the prosthetics (I quite like prosthetics, but can see their drawbacks if you want a character to emote convincingly in 48fps on a big screen, where every minute facial movement counts, and any 'bit of inert rubber' is going to show up as what it is. It's a toss up between obviously fake, but able to emote properly, or obviously fake and unable to emote properly, I guess). I do like that he's still got some classic bolg features with the metal racks on his face. Bring on the mini!

Just a pity the other design didn't get more screen-time, really. It was so cool. Still, he makes a badass captain. After-all - someone has to lead the Gundabad Orcs in the War of the Ring...

The first design was much better (of course) but i still like this one a lot. Looks better than Azog.

Nah, I like this new design. To be honest I was never really sold on the old one. Bringing him more in line with Azog is for the best.

We would need to see him moving on screen rather than as a blurry action snap.
(Meantime, somewhere in Nottingham, a sculptor is cursing under his breath)

I totally agree, I wonder what GW thought when PJ showed them that the bearded Bolg was scrapped?

Interesting that he's carrying a bow. Another Evil archer? Perhaps he can one up Narzug with some new special rules, and simply rename the current Bolg profile to Gundabad Orc General.

I don't think that's a bow, looks too much like metal.

Narzug has a bow-sword, so this could definitely be a bow of some kind. It looks like it has a rest for an arrow on one side and he's holding it out with his left hand the way you would hold a bow right after shooting.

God, i hope it's not a bow sword. A bow doesn't suit Bolg and a bow sword is just stupid. I can just hear some little kids:" He's so cool because he has such a cool weapon becuase it's a bow and a sword so he's the best"

He looks cool from that picture but i'll have to see him in action before I could fully comment. I still prefer the old design but again... we'll see.
